She is over her
fear of me, for that matter, she sticks to me like glue. I
put her in a cage last night just because I don't want her
to get injured in any way. I had the cage in my bedroom
so she could be near me. She is a little afraid of
Sweet Pea, and Sweet Pea is a little jealous of her, but
they are both making progress.
Another thing I noticed about Francie
was a very black spot about the size of a silver dollar
on the left side of her face (between her ear and eye). It reminded me
of another thing about silver poodles. When ever
they get hurt in any way that damages skin or muscle cells,
the hair in that area turns black and stays black the rest
of their lives. It looks like she has had a very
hard blow to the side of her head at some point in her
life.
I just wish I could touch her and take
away all her bad memories and fears. I hope to be
able to overcome most of them one at a time.
We had a wonderful trip and really enjoyed
meeting you. I
really appreciate all the work you and all the
foster parents do for these misfortunate animals. I
love Francie and we are going to have a long life together.
I am sending a copy of this to Matt and Jackie, and I
want to thank them so very much for taking care of Francie
until I found her.
My Best to All of You, Judy
(Proud new Mommy)
