He is a great little puppy and training and pack integration is going well. My 4 year old mini dachshund loves playing with him and my 11 year old mini dachshund likes to watch them play and take naps with him.
  • Time really does fly!  It’s one year ago today since Sami came into my life.  She’s my sweet Baby Girl and during playtime she shows her rough and tough side.
Sami is now 5 years old.
  • He’s The most fun and we are so happy to have him in our family.
  • Archie is doing great!  He loves going on walks and already recognizes our house. We are working on the sit command and looking into training classes for him. We are settling into a routine and everyone loves him.
  • Buddy (aka Biscuit) is settling in fantastically! He loves all of our shoes and our youngest daughter has become his person! When she get home from school and/or camp she is the only one he wants to play with!  He will follow her around the house and at bed time will lay outside her door until it is his bed time.
He loves all people but especially all of the kids in the neighborhood! He is a good listener and has formed a great relationship with his older sister, Izzy, who is a 13 year old yorkieshon.
  • Hello!! Minky (Now Clover) is doing amazing!!! She just went to her first doggy daycare yesterday and had THE BEST time! She’s such a fun and loving addition to our family and we love her so much!
  • I have been very excited and wanted to update you on how Avery's been doing so far. After the first couple days she started to come out of her crate and dart straight to one of the pet beds that she claimed, she also began to become relaxed while holding her, within the week she's freely wondering around the main floor of the house.
  • She's seems to be doing very well. Her comfort place seems to be my couch where she appears very content. She loves attention and being petted, and she wags her tail a great deal, so I think she's happy. When I have to leave her, my mom watches her, and she runs around the house looking for me and howls and barks. We love her.
  • Just wanted to tell you again how much we enjoy our little Maggie Mae!  She is just the most lovable, smart little thing ever!  We are grateful to you!!!!
  • We adopted Lola 3 years ago!  She was and continues to be a wonderful blessing in our lives.  She is quite the cuddler and has an amazing way of bringing out the softest sides in our two boys.
  • Here are some of year 2022 birthday pictures for Miss Buffy. May she have a happy and healthy life for many, many more years!
  • Things are going better than I could have hoped for. We all love that precious little chunk so much!
  • I could not be MORE IN LOVE!!  Perry is settling in far better than even I expected! He and my older dog Simi are figuring each other out, and I'm confident that even though there is some growling on Simi's part, I'm feeling confident that she kind of likes him!
  • I just wanted to send over a few recent photos of Sandy and Mandy (now Mocha and Munchkin) loving life in their new home.  They've been with us for just over 6 months now and we couldn't imagine our home without them.
  • Skye is adjusting well. She follows me everywhere if she isn't in the recliner with my husband. The pictures are of her and her new harness.
  • Rocky is now Kevin and he is doing as well as can be expected! We are working on potty training and crate training, and we are going on LOTS of walks. He has quickly become his big sister’s little shadow and has already learned the basics around the house. He is doing great with the cat and is obsessed with his Cookie Monster toy.
  • The puppies are thriving! They have been to the vet here and all look well. They love playing outside together; they are hilarious when they play. We have discovered that they love to dig and roll around on the grass. We love them so much. Our home feels complete once again.
  • Jelly is doing wonderful. Her and my other dog are already best friends. They play and nap together. She basically follows him everywhere he goes!
  • Buddy is doing great.  We had a great visit to PetSmart yesterday and he had a riot.  Went down the toy isle and told him to pick out a toy, he was so distracted by everything going on and making new friends, two legged and four legged he didn't pay any attention to the toys, so I ended up playing with more toys than Buddy did.
  • Mia, who is now Sadie. She is a doll, absolute delight.
  • Home Sweet Home
(After exploring the whole house. He went upstairs good but coming down them was a different story. Lol)
He slept all night on our bed. I think he was exhausted. I had to coax him to eat last night and this morning. I'm still waiting to see a zoomie that I was told about! Maybe in time. LOL. He just had a bath and is sleeping on my lap with a blanket. Thank you for allowing us to adopt him.
He is such a sweetie pie!
  • Perry is a silly, bossy little JOY! He is doing very well! He is learning a ton from my other dog, Simi. I am anxious to be receiving some fencing this Friday so that we can fence off a portion of our yard for Perry to tear around in! He is full of energy and loves, loves, loves walks!
  • Patty is doing great. She still doesn't like the leash or the grass she loves pets and treats and she sleeps with her tongue out She's still scared of some loud noises but she has come a  long ways since I got her She sleeps in bed with Ben and I. Thank you for letting me Adopt her I love her with all my heart and then some. Here are some pictures of her and even her with Ben.
  • Holly is doing very well. She still can be a little skittish if she is on the floor and people try to pet her, but she has made tremendous progress.
    I have attached some pictures.
  • Blitz is doing great! We have even been able to share about Marylin’s Voice several times as we are constantly getting questioned about him. He has had no health concerns, is as playful as a 6 month old would be expected to be and loved to the fulllest!
    Thank you for checking in!

2021 Happy Tails

  • I adopted this little guy at 5 months old almost 4 years ago from Marilyn's Voice!  This is Nova (we kept his original name because he already knew it).  He is a purebred Pekingese that was born in foster care after his mother was rescued from a hoarding situation.  I (we)will forever be thankful you did because he is our absolutely spoiled, adorable little prince who runs our household LOL.
  • It’s going mostly well! She slept well in the bed with us last night. I did put a crate out with some blankets so she’d have a safe space and that’s mostly where she has stayed (until we leave the room).
  • I couldn't even have thought up a better match for me!!! Impossible! She is beyond wonderful and we are loving and enjoying each other to the fullest!!! We are happy! And I totally believe it was meant to be. Thank you, thank you!
  • Rosie is great, she has very much settled into our home, She has become very used to the routine in this house. Rosie often sleeps with my younger daughter Sidonie and sometimes with my daughter Eloise. She loves to play with all her new toys.
  • Awe, thanks for checking in. Here he is! Getting so big! Truly one of the friendliest cats we have ever owned.
  • Four months in and things are great! I ended up re-naming her Nora, and can’t believe how much she’s grown already. She has many favorite toys and loves sitting in her cat tower at the big window and watching all the birds fly by. She also always makes sure to let me know when it’s time for me to take a break from work, by sitting on my laptop until I give her some attention!
  • Attached is the picture of Tillie and Bennie.  We are enjoying them. They provide us with a lot of entertainment. They have glued themselves to Judy. I come in second if I have treats.
Bennie loves the outdoors, Boyd, a greyhound, watches over him. Tillie harasses the other 2 greyhounds (Spencer and Oliver).  Tillie still barks at the rain.
  • She is the joy of our lives!  She loves to cuddle & be petted as much as possible.  She is also very excited when someone comes to visit!!  Completely house trained & loves her doggie doors.
  • Sam is doing fantastic, he is loving his new life and is an integral part of the family. He is super stubborn so that is something we are working on, but he is great with any visitors and their dogs.
  • Gidget is our 5th Marilyns Voice adoption. She is our baby girl. She was born on my grandmothers birthday which I took as an omen that it was meant to be. Gidget is very loving. She loves to be held and will ride along in your arms without protest just so long as she is with you.
  • The girls are doing great and fitting in to our family like they’ve always been here.  Mandy is now Mocha and Sandy is Munchkin.  They are quickly learning their names and our routines.  They have been quick to check out all of the dog beds and choose their favorites.
  • Thank you for letting us adopt our sweet Lucky!  7 years today and he is the love of our life!
  • I wanted to reach out and let you know everything has been GREAT!
I can't tell you how perfect Lil Nugget has been for our family and the joy he brings us. He is truly the sweetest dog and we are thankful everyday that he is part of our family. Him and his new sister Florence are now inseparable and their diverse personalities are so much fun for us!
  • Buttercup,  now known as Rosey is doing great.  She and her "brother" Rooney have become friends and get along well together.  Rosey has settled in as a member of our family and we love her very much.
  • Bowser is doing great. Actually Both he and Buddy (Capone) are wonderful pets. They are both very affectionate - more so than I expected!
  • We absolutely love Dolly! She has continued to adjust to our home and learned new commands like sit, jump, rollover, and kiss. We are hoping to continue training her and keeping her active.
  • Zoey is doing wonderfully and has silently crept into the hearts of everyone she’s had contact with.  Yesterday she got to spend time with former Marilyn’s Voice alumni Baxter who is also doing great!
Zoey is by far one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever encountered and we love having her here in her forever home.
  • Willow has truly changed our lives. She is becoming more and more herself every day, she is so spunky and loves to eat!
  • He's very good, he likes to sleep with me, likes a good belly rub and likes kisses and playing ball. We have been going to school for some training and is doing very well and learning so much. I'm so glad he picked us for his mom and dad he is a very loving young little man!
  • We could not be happier with Koko. She has brought life back to our home. Who would’ve known how much personality is packed into our bundle of joy. We can’t imagine life with out her.
  • Grayson is doing great! We’ve changed his name to Louie & he responded right away with it. To me he just looked like a Louie ;)
He is a chill dog that loves everyone, even the kids in the neighborhood. He takes turns sleeping with all of us - he wants to be fair!
  • Simbalou is doing great! He has a brother now see attached...
  • Greetings!  Oh my, she's the best puppy we could have ever hoped for and such a perfect addition to our family.  She is doing great and we love her so much!!  I could just hold her and cuddle her all day!
  • Everyone loves him. He has been such a good addition to the family. He has fit right
in with my other two boys. But he does always want to be the center of attention. He
has won over my heart. I can't imagine life without him. Thank you for giving me the
opportunity to give him a forever home
  • Just wanted to check in regarding Sosa. We adopted her 2 years ago which is so hard to believe. She has settled into our family and it’s like she has always been here. She loves to cuddle, loves squeaky toys and loves sitting on the front porch watching the world.
  • Finn is doing great! He made himself right at home that first night.
  • Geena (formerly Gherkin) with her Buddy, Kyrie.  Knew they were going to be pals.
  • My wife and I want to Thank You for giving this opportunity to bring Emmett into our home. First and foremost, he is the biggest blessing to my wife and I.
  • Hi. I just wanted to give you an update on Lacey. I adopted her from you over 2 years ago. She is thriving and still learning new things even though she's at least 9 years old. She's bonded with my other rescue and they're inseparable! She's sweet, endearing and loves to cuddle. The love of my life! Here's a picture of her and one with her sister.
Thanks for all you do for these sweet pups.
  • Its been a year (these are from the 14th) and we celebrated this wild pup being a Kunash.
He loves walks/hikes (I walk a lot a day), jogs, sun bathing and sleeps all night under the covers! He has more toys than my girls do.
I trust you are well and continue to do gods work.
    Have an amazing day.
  • Dolly has been such a wonderful addition to our family and we love her so very much! She loves going on car rides and walks with us every day and over the weekends. She is getting plenty of attention and adjusting well into our home. We wanted to thank you and everyone involved in the rescue!
  •  She has taken over the house and both of us. Spending time with Daddy, Dining with friends and Sleeping off dinner. Thanks again for all you do.
  • Just thought I would let you know that Koko has made this definitely her forever home.  She is playing with toys and taken over the house.  She has definitely trained Grant and myself over the past few days.  We are enjoying her immensely.  Thank you so much for finding her for us!
  • Harley Davidson has been doing really well and getting along fine with Ginger and Paris, our other dogs. I am very glad my wife and I adopted him.
  • Emma is doing great, she has bonded well with Deborah and I and she and Millie are inseparable.
  • All is well with Etta. She’s happily adapted and always makes her presence known :)
My husband still calls her Etta but one of my adult kids starting calling her Edamame, and I love that - she’s our fuzzy little bean!
  • Willow and her sister, Winnie are best buds and she is loving her new life.
  • Kobe is doing wonderfully.  Him and SamSam are a regular happy couple in love!  It is unbelievable the bond they have formed.  Kobe makes sure to clean Sam’s whole face and ears usually before we go to bed.  He is thriving and most of the time he is a wonderful cuddly fat boy.  I call him that because he is just so solid.  Kobe just got a new round of shots and a mani/pedi.  The tech said that he weighed in a little over 8 pounds.  I also had SamSam with me and she got a mani/pedi also.  Tech said she weighed in at just under 8 lbs.  However, when you pick them up for some loving, you would think that Kobe was 15 and Sam was 5. There is that much difference in feeling they get picked up.
  • Karma is just delightful. She is the best little girl and brings us so much joy. We are so grateful to Marilyn’s Voice for rescuing Karma from her former life, providing her with a wonderful foster mom and dad who helped Karma adapt to home life. We couldn’t feel luckier. Karma has the perfect name - she came full circle. Good Karma for all of us!
  • All is good here. I changed her name to Meghan and she has been chipped.
  • It seems like Lulu has been here forever. She knew her way around the house in a day or two, loves us as much as we love her. She lets us know when it’s time to go outside and sleeps with us all night. She’s a keeper!!
  • Chico is doing well, it was a challenge for awhile he has a tough personality.
I had my doubts about him at first but he has grown on me and is a good companion not overly cuddly but getting there.
  • Archer (Jay Jay) is thriving & extremely happy.  He’s adapted beautifully.
Thank you for giving me this beautiful little light. He’s perfect. 💕
  • He is the best dog ever.  Him and Harley are best buddies.  Roo loves to go for a walk every day is sad when the weather doesn't cooperate.   Thank you so much it has been a very pleasant and easy transition.   He loves to eat needs to lose a couple pounds since the weather has been so cold.
  • I love her more every day. I truly can’t imagine my life without her,  especially during this crazy covid time. We are both looking forward toward spring when we can spend hours together walking and working in the yard. She is my constant companion and does her best to make me feel guilty when I have to leave her for errands.
I did wind up getting covid and had to spend some time in the hospital…I’m fully recovered but Piper had a great time staying with my son and his family. She is so well behaved and easy that I think it made them decide to also adopt also. They got a 10 month old lab mix a few weeks ago.
Everyone in the neighborhood loves visiting with her…we do about 4 walks a day!
  • Hi I thought you’d like a little update on Pepper Jack. It’s been 2 years since he became part of our family. As you can see from the pictures he not that scared little boy that came to us (although loud noises still frighten him to the point where he will hide). He love playing with toys by himself or with one of us but especially when he sees our other dog playing with something he always wants to join in the fun. We took him in his first camping trip this past year and he really seemed to enjoy the extended periods of outdoor time and going for walks. Over all he’s happy, healthy and thriving and we love that he is part of our family.

2020 Happy Tails

  • Joplin's 1st birthday! She's so cute.
  • She is doing amazing ! She has so much personality and still loves cheese ! She loves snuggling up and watching movies but will play paw paw and jump around.
  • I’m attaching some photos of Oreo living her best life! She is a very happy girl and is attached to me at all times!
  • We are celebrating this special guy’s birthday on Thanksgiving since we don’t know the exact date.  Tank (formerly Chandler) is so loved and spoiled! Thank you MV for rescuing him!
  • Rocky joined our family in July. We can’t imagine our lives without him. He bonded with his mom instantly and proved to be a great work from home dog companion. Rocky goes everywhere with his parents. He loves going to eat on patios and the outdoor shopping at Crocker Park. He also likes going on hikes in his backpack. He has tons of toys and has learned to play. He also likes playing with other dogs and going on car rides.
  • Mia is doing absolutely wonderful; she is a perfect fit!  I love her sooo much and so does my other dog Slater! Mia is like a baby Doll and so sweet; I am soo happy I found her.  Her foster mom visited with us a few weeks ago and brought her own Chihuahua.  We had a great play date that day.
  • Toby ( black and white Shih Tzu)and Rosie (Bishon)are best friends! Toby was adopted from MV in 2015 and is such a great boy. Rosie Was adopted from another rescue a few years later and they have been inseparable since.
  • Ella is doing just wonderful.  We love her so much. Unfortunately, our oldest dog Iscis got a sick about a month after Ella joined our family and crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Having Ella helped to keep my mind busy so that I wasn't as sad.  Our other dog Sabre has grown close to Ella now as well.   I will get some pics together and send to you for the website.
  • Mikey is a DOLL – I love him so much!!  He’s doing fantastic!  Honestly, every day I feel like his confidence grows.  When he first arrived, he was pretty fearful/anxious when people would come to the house, or when people would approach him when we were out walking.   He’s getting soooo much better!   He’s done great with people coming into the house, and there’s even a few neighbors he “allows” to pet him when we’re out!!
He LOVES being covered up in a blanket!!  I discovered this by accident, I wrapped him up one night when it was storming to try and calm him, and found that he loves it!! He always needs to be close to me … whether sitting on the couch or going to bed, he needs to be right next to me or on top of me!! He loves to walk!!  We generally walk a mile in the morning and a mile after dinner … this little guy can move!!
He LOVES car rides, too!!  As soon as I say let’s go to the car … he gets soooo excited!!  I have to crack the window for him!
  • The pups (now named Gizmo and Rosie) are doing great!  For being litter mates, it is surprising how different their personalities are!  Rosie is pretty independent but is petrified of her leash and harness and therefore, not a huge fan of walks; whereas, Gizmo loves his walks!  Gizmo loves to cuddle and be carried around like a baby.  Rosie wants to be near but would rather do her own thing than be cuddling, except at night when she is tired. They each know several commands including, high five, crawl, down, sit, high ten and sit pretty.  Rosie has mastered the stay command to the point that we can go into another room and call her before she will move.  Gizmo, not so much!  They bring joy to our life and make us smile every day.  Thank you for rescuing these pups and countless others and giving them a chance to be adopted into loving homes!  Keep up the great work.
  • Joplin is still  a very sweet and happy dog. She is content to run and play then snuggle up and nap too. Had to postpone training for health reasons (not hers) we'll get to that as soon as possible.
  • She is a welcome addition to our family. She is bossy, sassy, stubborn and funny. We traveled to Yellowstone and back with her this past August. She wanted to watch out the windows most of the time and took command of the beds in the hotels. While going for a boat ride is not her favorite thing, she tolerates it. She loves to walk - the usual route we take here in our condo complex is a mile and we walk it 2-3 times a day unless it rains. Along the way her head is on a swivel looking for every dog she's met along the way (she has her favorites) as well as the houses of people who may have spoken to us at some point in time. It appears she had training of some sort - she knows sit, down, leave it, but not so good on come or stay. Maybe I just don't know the proper words. When we brought her home we had some issues with her stools so on the advice of our vet we put her on a different diet. She has filled out a bit but she is by no means fat, and her exercise/energy level remains high like I stated above. You are welcome to share the pics I attached. We love her and are thankful to your organization for letting us bring her home.
  • From the moment we  got home it seemed as if she had been with me forever. Piper follows me around all day but she gets along with the grand kids and all the neighbors and their dogs ... I couldn’t be happier .. it’s a match made in heaven .. Thank you!
  • We all just love Flash.  She's a big love bug!
  • Tito, which I have named Louie is doing very well.  We are making slow progress with his trust issues.  He lets me pet him. I also have been able to kiss him on the head.  He greets me tail wagging when I come home after being gone.  He is the king of the castle.  Just had him to the vet yesterday for a nail trim.  My Vet is aware of his special needs, he gives me meds to relax Louie so they can do what they need to for him.  The vet left him fluxotine for the present.  He has taken over my recliner.  He also has a bed in my room.  I feel in time I can get him to trust .e.  i want to teach him to play.  I am attaching pictures I have been sending to Peggy with updates.   He has found his forever home.
  • Tank, formerly known as Chandler, is living it up in his new home! He has been a blessing during our extended time at home...he is quite entertaining and a daredevil himself.  He has enjoyed several new adventures, including boating, paddle boarding, and car rides. He even has his own basket that fits on our bikes so he loves an evening bike ride too! He plays with his sister, Reese, a GSP, several times each day.  She has done a great job showing him dog etiquette and some manners too. He has met a dog trainer, and he is perfectly well behaved during training (he knows just what to do to get hot dog treat!). He is rather smitten with a poodle puppy that lives across the street.  When he sees her or hears her bark, he can’t get to her fast enough.  Together they run at full speed around the yard until they are both exhausted.  He loves to snuggle too.  He fit perfectly into our family!
  • Tia (Tatia Piper Lange) is the black/white one and Addy (Addison Elsbeth Lange) is the blonde one.  Lenny and I are smitten with them.  It was harder for us this last time with no other dogs in the house to help us train the newcomers, but all has worked out.  They have taught us how they want some things, and we have let them know how some things are supposed to be done.  We still have to work on walking on a leash and sitting to get trimmed but know it will all work out in time.  We are super lucky to have gotten such sweet dogs although I must say Addy tends to be a piggy wiggy and thinks all the toys are hers even if she doesn’t really want to play with them.  Thank you for asking about them.

  • Wes is wonderful!   He is full of energy and loves to run around the yard and chase the squirrels and birds!  He is getting used to the dogs around us and was the hit of our garage sale!!!  We have had family in town for a week and a half and he is great with them; they all love him.  We crate him during the workday and he is just fine....he even goes in now every morning when he knows it’s time for me to leave.  I leave the door open and he still stays in!  He loves to snuggle and give kisses and sleep with us, and we are hoping to take him to visit my mom as soon as we are allowed to see her in person.  We love him to pieces and couldn’t be happier!!
  • Tonka is doing great! He and his pal Louie(Lugi) enjoy hanging out together and getting treats and chasing each other.
Tonka has a wonderful personality and is such a loving little guy. He is great with other dogs and enjoyed the kitty cats at Dr.Hills (his vet) after his follow up appointment for post neuter check up, and wellness visit.
We are so blessed to have Tonka in our lives and he brings our family such joy!
  • He’s doing great! Renamed Buck. We just completed a six week training course with a Cold Nose Companions and I think he was the star pupil (I’m maybe a little biased), learned new commands and the barking calmed down a lot. We’re doing another class starting in a few weeks.
He’s an awesome dog. He has settled in here well and is really chill most of the time. Loves following me around everywhere but he’s also a big love bug to my son. Still let’s us know when the Amazon truck is here but doesn’t bark all the time. He loves going for hikes in the nearby state park as well as long walks around the property and hanging out with me while I garden.
  • I would love to update on Cora! She has brought us so much joy! She sleeps on my pillow and follows me around. She is learning to play with her new sisters. She loves to eat, she is up to 12lbs. Her favorite thing is probably riding on our golf cart. She runs outside and stands next to it waiting to be picked up. Her fur is so beautiful, we have had no issues with yeast infections. She gets groomed once a month, and stays current on her heart worm and flea meds. Last month she may have started getting allergies, but a Cytopoint shot seemed to have helped. We love her so much, and we thank you for choosing us to be her forever parents.
  • Tesha is coming along great. We are making improvements every day, small steps as they are...but improvements. She is playing with toys and is wanting more and more attention every day.
  • I think the pictures say it all! I have had dogs almost every day of my life and the transition of these two living together in our home ( with loved cats too)  has been seamless! They are nothing but fun... thank heavens for them particularly as we navigate the times were in! There hasn’t been one “dust up” over ANYTHING!
We’re all enjoying a wonderfully high quality of life( within this craziness).
  • Henry (Beau) has turned into quite a character and a wonderful addition to the family !
He follows Hank around constantly and has become a real "zoomer" in the backyard!  This past month my daughter with her min pin have been visiting and her Benny and Henry have really bonded.  They are especially good zoomers.  He is soooo fast!
  • Ralphie has now figured out how to climb up the stairs to the 2ND floor, so he may try jumping up on the couch next!  He did quickly get into the groove of John's week night "sandwich making time" for his lunch for the next day.
  • Mikey is doing great!  He’s taking his “guard dog” duties very seriously!!  He is enjoying his daily walks too.
  • Hello! Just wanted to send a few recent photos of Maverick (now Ren) the Pomeranian. He has settled in to our family so well. As you can see he loves snuggles with Muffy (aka MV's Oreo Cookie). He is such a good-natured happy dog, the groomer and vet both love having him visit. He is also very active and we can't believe he was considered a senior. He has been on 7km hikes with us! His favorite thing is belly rubs, and he will lie on his back and beg for them any chance he gets.
Thanks again for both our dogs!!
  • He has quite an appetite and has a wonderful personality. He is really coming around!
  • I wanted to share a picture of Mini on her 1st birthday! Since we only knew she was born in May we decided to give her a birthday of May 1st. She will enjoy her birthday with lots of love and attention ( no different than any other day) and a special treat. Here’s to many many more birthdays!!
  • Monica would kiss Bacon and egg her on to play.  She has a doggie car seat and loves her new pink collar as opposed to the one they brought with them for the adoption.  She and Bacon love to snuggle up together now and are best of friends.  Monica weighs 14 pounds, is in perfect health, and will go on two mile runs at least 2 days a week with her dad.  He added that she runs like a greyhound!
  • Eddie is doing great. We don’t know what we did before he was a part of our family. He still had quite the personality. He’s a toilet paper and pen their!! He’s a beautiful boy.  Thanks for choosing us!
  • It will be 3 months next week since Emmy joined our family. As you can tell she gets along great with her siblings. She loves to go for walks, chase squirrels and sit under the tree waiting for them to come down. She loves to snuggle with her mommy. She let me trim the hair around her face just last week so we’re making progress. I am literally obsessed with this beautiful girl. She’s enjoying mommy working from the home the month for sure. Here’s a few pics but my camera roll is full of this silly, loving, sweet girl
  • Hi! We hope you are doing well during this crazy pandemic. We thought we would share with you some pictures of Spencer who is loving having everyone home! Take care.
  • Thought you might like to see some recent pics of Fiyero! These are crazy times!  Can’t believe I met him around this time a year ago already!!!
  •  She is doing great! She is such a sweetheart and wonderful addition to our family.
  • Marci is a very special little dog. When I first held her in my arms and walked out of her foster mom’s backyard, I could not believe that she was coming home with me. I am so incredibly grateful to Marilyn’s Voice and especially to her foster mom, Cheryl, for trusting me with her.
  • She’s is doing so well! She has really adapted to her new life here with us. She’s the little princess. She’s full of energy and makes us laugh everyday. A total lap dog who loves her people as much as we love her. She is attending training classes and is doing so well with that! She’s super smart and catches on so quickly as if she’s done this before! We can’t get enough of her little face.️  Her and Cooper are inseparable, you see one you see them both. Our
shadows. We have chosen the name Mini for her. So we now have a Mini Cooper lol. We are so happy that she’s here with us and she will continue to be the little spoiled princess she deserves to be.
  • Sophie is doing well and didn't waste any time training me. The trip south was uneventful, she's extremely tolerant and nothing seems to bother her. We're pretty much perfect for each other.
Kara told me she wasn't too interested in treats or playing with toys. Wrong! Eating is her favorite pastime and someone must have thought teaching her to beg was cute... as pictured it's kind of pathetic. She doesn't need to beg, she isn't shy about letting me know what she wants... and she gets it.  :-)  Her squeaky toy is her constant companion and she loves chasing it from one end of the house to the other.
Kara totally accurate about Sophie being a couch dog. She has no problem getting comfy. She's a total bundle of love!
  • Nate has been doing great! He has adjusted to our family and schedules very well. He sleeps in one of our beds every night and also gets along with our other older dog too. Nate plays and follows our 7 year old daughter around all day, he especially loves when she has friends over. But above all, Nate absolutely LOVES to play ball.
We are so lucky we found him!
  • Walter and Linus are doing very well! The five of us are a very happy family. Puddles loves her brothers. They are such characters, but she keeps them in line! Here are some of our fave photos.
  • Archie (Murphy) is doing great!  He is such a great little addition to our family.  He gets along so well with our other two dogs as well as our children.  He loves to snuggle and is constantly playing with our oldest dog, Bailey.  We are looking forward to warmer weather do we can go camping and for long walks.  Thank you again for letting us open our hearts and
  • We absolutely love Lola, she is super funny!    She loves to play ball and go for walks in the park.  The 3 pups have completely different personalities, but they all get along great!  At night Lola will tuck myself and Eric in.  She pulls the blanket up with her teeth and then pushes the blankets over us with her nose...super cute.
We would like to thank marylins voice for all their hard work and dedication to saving the lives of so many fur babies.  They make wonderful family members!
  • Thanks so much for checking in on Toby. This in itself is why i would HIGHLY recommend marilyn svoice to whoever is looking to add a pet to their family. The organization is filled with volunteers who are so caring and loving and only want to find similar types of people to have adopt  from them. I have met and spoken to many people in the organization and everyone has the pets best interest in mind.
That said Toby is doing fabulous in our home. He’s still adjusting and learning out routines but is coming out of his shell more and more everyday. He gets along great with our other dog and has won over the hearts of all who meet him.
    See the attached pictures.
Thank you again for allowing us to adopt Toby and for letting him become a member of our family.
  • Time sure has flown by! And we love him so, so, so much. We changed Scooters name to Sid because we felt like it was a better fit for him. He’s adapted so well to our home! He definitely thinks he’s the boss and runs the household, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. He loves going for his daily walks, he learned how to sit and shake paw, and he took over the leather couch. He is still a little fearful of new people (especially men) but he warms up to them quickly!  He is so precious and I feel so blessed you picked me to give him a fur-ever home!
  • Edna, AKA Phoebe is doing great. She is a very graceful kitty. She loves jumping after toys  romping around with her sister friend Rhoda also pictured here.
  • Jack is doing well.  House training is work in progress, but I would say it’s 75% accomplished.  He is such a sweet boy, I just can’t get mad at him when he leaves me a present . He is down to 16 lbs from 20 and looking very trim;  my Vet says 1 or 2 more lbs will be ideal.  He had his heart worm test, negative, and exam. He loves playing tug and going for walks. I am so glad I found him, he is a love bug and we love him right back.
  • Hi!!! He is doing quite well!! He’s a happy boy!! He loves being with me and going to the park. We had a lil problem with a luxated patella but he is all better! We had to add some bran to his diet because he was having a lot of problems with his anal glands but it seemed to so the trick! I love him and thank you again!!
  • Well for starters, we renamed him Louie.
When we first got him he weighed like 13 lbs., he now weighs almost 30 lbs. He has been neutered and chipped.
He loves, loves, loves to play with toys especially ones that squeak. His absolute favorite toy is a chicken that has the loudest most annoying squeaky noise!
He loves to ride in the car. We take the grandkids to school every morning.
He lays on top of the couch and basks in the sun and keeps watch for anything happening outside. Barks at everything!
He has graduated from 2 training classes. Still has lots to learn, lol.
Like most dogs, he is spoiled. We love him dearly!
  • I can't believe it's been almost a year! Our little Watson has come such a long way. He just had a check up at the vet, he weighs 8lbs and is in perfect health. He can fetch, sit, stay, ask nice for treats, and his potty training is nearly perfect. He loves to play with everyone, he's no longer so skittish around strangers, and he even gives kisses!
Please thank his foster family for us, I know Georgia really connected with Fozzy Bear and I want her to know he is enjoying life as a happy, friendly little dog.

2019 Happy Tails

  • We can’t believe we have had Franklin for over 6 years and Sailor Sal for almost 6 years!
We wanted to let you know how great they are doing and are the bear big brothers to their human sister.
  • We love our Jack.  He is such a sweet little dog. House training is coming along.  He knows what the side door means, has found his spot.   Poop training is not going as good, but it’s coming.  He is such a smart little dog, like Jack Russells are, and he will get it eventually. His favorite spot to nap is on my husbands lap and for sleep, he likes to be in bed with me He seems happy here and we are so happy to have him.  He’s a treasure.
  • This is just Cookie doing her calisthenics. Getting those stretches done first thing in the morning. Cookie has gotten use to us fairly well.

She is usually quiet but she has her vocal moments, which is usually when it’s time to fix her meal.  She loves watching TV – Disney Cartoons. We have a TV in one end of our dining room for the dogs. The TV is on a timer & sometimes it shuts off.

  • Oscar has settled in and I feel he knows he is home. He's my little shadow and loves to snuggle. This year has been incredibly difficult after losing my parents and my beloved 16 year old dog ,Cupcake. Oscar saved me, I needed him as much as he needed a loving home. He loves to go on walks , belly rubs, and burying himself under blankets. He 's just a little love. Christmas is going to be so different, but we are making new memories. Thank you Marilyn's voice for all you do. Merry Christmas!

  • Andi has stolen our hearts. She seems so happy with her new sister and three brothers. Andi still shows signs of fear almost like ptsd from the puppy mill. She gets nervous when meeting others and runs to hide.
She gets so excited if we go for a ride. She really and truly smiles at us. Going outside is another favorite  thing. She runs with the others and plays as if she has always been with us.
We are so happy that we have Andi. She has so many cute and laughable behaviors that we enjoy her everyday. Thank you so much for choosing us for her.
  • A little update on Ren (formerly Maverick) - he is fitting in so well! He and Muffy (formerly Oreo Cookie) love to snuggle in bed together as you can see from the photo. He even gets Muffy to play and wrestle, and she walks much better with Ren along as encouragement. He is so funny and full of energy. He loves all the toys we bought for Muffy (but that she ignores). Thanks again for everything that you do, and of course thanks for both of our pups!
  • Fiyero is doing great and we adore him!!!
He is very mellow and affectionate. We boarded him at Ultimutt Inn in Burton when we went away and he had a wonderful time playing with the other small dogs. The staff said he was very well behaved. He is eating well and his weight is up to 14 pounds which the vet said is perfect!
We love love love him and he brings us so much joy!
Fiyero is ready for winter in his down coat! See attached picture.
Fiyero had his own room with bed at Ultimutt Inn and I think he liked it!
  • She is doing fantastic and she is an amazing addition to the family!  She loves going for walks and relaxing on top of pillows, which her doggy brother has taught her. She has really come out of her shell and has gotten super comfortable! Allie has really conquered her fear of men. She has really warmed up to my husband and evens greets him at the door when he comes home, and during the holidays my sons were in and did very well with them! She loves frolicking when she gets back inside from the rain. She loves to be held and loves to cuddle and gives kisses.  She is a big foodie and will eat and beg for what ever she can. She loves chewing raw hides and likes to toss it around and catch it! It is adorable when she smiles cause her two little teeth show! She loves our other dog Louie and they get along so well!
  • Munchie is doing wonderful. He is such a sweet and obedient dog. Loves to be with me 24/7. He still is doing a lot of panting when he gets nervous or goes somewhere new. Doesn’t like toys but is very friendly to other dogs. Just love him🥰
  • Willow has been a wonderful addition to our family. She has come quite a long way. She is faster at getting to know new people and before long she is bringing a toy to them. The neighbors love her! She now has ALL giving her treats with that sweet little face. She plays hard and we do our best to wear her out. She "talks" now when we come home.....it's like a little howl-purr kinda thing and then she brings us a toy. After her dinner, she crashes (usually on one of our laps). At least once a day she does something to make us laugh. She is a pleasure. Thank you so much for letting her become part of our family. We love her so much!
  • We are so happy we adopted this sweet boy. He gets and gives plenty of cuddles!!!!
  • Thanks so much for checking in. Boomer has been doing great! We've really loved making him part of our little family. He's been adapting to our routines nicely, and he's even started getting up early with us even though he's not much of a morning dog. He graduated from his first set of training classes with us last month, and I think we'll be doing more once the holiday season is over. Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt him, hes been a really wonderful addition to our lives. Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else from me, and please share the photo if you'd like!
  • He is as playful and spoiled as can be lol. I have to work on getting him socialized because it doesn't seem like he's dog friendly on our walks but other than that he's great! I also send his fosters pic updates as well.
  • Lacey has settled in and is just delightful. She is the gentlest, sweetest little soul. She had such a rough life before you all rescued her and yet her resilience is remarkable. You gave her a new life! I love her more than I can say, and she is a true joy. She and Tink are best friends and are inseparable. They play together all the time. And of course we all three snuggle together in bed at night. We are a very happy little family. Here are a couple pictures of them. Lacey is the one standing in the one picture. One is with her and Tink snuggling. And here's one with just Lacey. You can absolutely share them. Thank you again for all your help in bringing this little angel into my life!
  • Levi is doing well. He has completed the advanced obedience classes at Dogsmartz. I have taught him a few tricks too. He is a terrific dog. He and my fearful chihuahua have become real close. They are always together. They are good for each other.
  • Today marks one year since we adopted Issac! I didn't realize how much a puppy mill survivor had to learn. Isaac has come a long way in the past year! He has learned to walk up and down stairs. He tries to play with some toys thanks to help of Bridgette. He is now ok doing his business on the grass instead of on cement. He is not so skittish of people and will let them touch him. He's still not real fond of men. Pretty much house broken. He just started scratching on our leg when he wants to go out. Like clockwork when it's time to eat he let's us know by pacing and barking until he gets his food.. lol. He is a pure joy. Just love him. Thanks so much for choosing us to be Isaac's Mom & Dad!
  • I just wanted to write and get an update on Honeybee, formerly known as Delilah. Firstly, thank you so much for the care that you gave to this precious little puppy before I met her. And thank you for considering our family. Honeybee is our precious little girl. She is sweet, very intelligent, and has made my life so much better for just for her being in it. (more…)
  • Remember these two adorable pups, Tootie and Mugzi. It's been over a year since we adopted them. They are the greatest addition to our family. So SPOILED and love living in New York. From the treats, homemade meals and taking up the entire bed at night, they are living the life, LOL. We do check your site to see if you have any pekes or pugs that need a home. Keep us in mind if you need a home for a peke or pug!
  • We love him! He has a permanent home with my son and I. This is a perfect match. Guests arrived early for Easter and he decided to join a party across the street as the door opened. We now have an invisible fence AND dog run. Loves rides in the car, but always leashed. He has current shots and will be getting his teeth cleaned soon. He loves Pet Smart now. Many visits to purchase toys and one groom. He lets me trim his facial hair and nails. Hates a bath though. Will be sending pictures via my phone. Thank you!
  • Ira continues to do well in our family and we are so very happy to have him. It is wonderful to be greeted by his wagging tail and excitement when we come home. He has the run of the house and is 99% house-trained. Ira has gained the pound or two that the vet recommended and appears to be a happy and friendly dog. He likes to go for car rides, enjoys the outdoors, and seems more aware of his surroundings when we're out walking. Recently we took him to a local event where there were many dogs and he did very well socializing with the other dogs. He is still in the process of learning some basic commands, but knows the meaning of "potty," "go outside," "go for a ride," "no," "street," "up" and few other words. We'll keep working with him. (more…)
  • Tonka is doing great! He’s out on a touch of weight and is now a healthy 4 lbs and loves playing and snuggling with his sisters! He’s becoming more and more energetic and runs around playing with anything he can find: remotes, cell phones, notebooks! We have an appointment with an ophthalmologist in early September for possible cataracts but he is otherwise very healthy! I’ll send some pictures!
  • Benji (now Charlie) is doing Very well! He is the absolute sweetest dog I have ever met. He has charmed his way into the hearts of my friends and family! I have honestly never seen such an easy going dog! In addition to teaching, I run a nonprofit theatre company, and Charlie actually had a role in our most recent production, Legally Blonde! He was, by far, the biggest hit and he had the entire audience flocking to him after every performance. He’s truly such a sweetheart.
  • In June we adopted a beautiful ginger colored Boston Terrier called Bugsy. We have changed her name to Bugaboo but mostly call her Bug. We have had Bostons for over 30 years and when we found out about Bug, thru our friend Becki who is a foster parent for Marilyn’s Voice, we couldn’t pass her up. Ginger isn’t an acceptable color for the breed by AKC standards but all we cared about was her temperament and turned out she is the sweetest girl ! (more…)
  • I wanted to say thank you for running such an amazing organization and all who helps run it. Maddy Bear came into my life a year and a half ago and she captivated not only my heart but anyone who meets her. When I first got Maddy (Matty was her name) she was a scared , sad little girl who had a rough start at life. Her foster mom let me know she is very sweet but it would be a challenge. With sometime it fills my heart with happiness to say Maddy Bear is a happy , sassy, full of life little girl! She now loves to be the center of attention and even at times uses her behind to knock other dogs if they are taking her attention. She is so interactive . It’s truly amazing to see this change. If it wasn’t for Marilyn’s voice I would never have met the little sweet girl (yes sassy at times) who stole and filled my heart .
  • Here is a pic of Fiyero right after we got him groomed! He is the sweetest dog in the world and we adore him!
  • We’ve had Sosa for about a month now and couldn’t be happier! She has adapted well and our older dog Lucy enjoys playing with Sosa. She loves to play keep away with her toys, playing, walks, playing freely in the back yard (fenced in), going to the river to chase rocks as they move down the stream, and then cuddling on the couch after a busy day. She also enjoys all her dog friends and cousins and all the neighborhood kids that love on her each day. As I said above, We were out of town for a few days and a friend was keeping her for us. I worried while we were gone that she would feel abandoned by us...when I brought her home upon our return her excitement of returning to us (and her yard) was obvious. I think she knows she is in her forever home now!
  • Thanks for checking in. We are doing really well. Eleanor actually goes by Asscher now, and I am just in love with her. She has been the perfect match for me. Loves snuggling on the couch and going outside for walks and just keeping me company wherever I go. She curls up next to me when I sleep. Always super excited when I pick her up from doggy day care and has been getting better with playing and socializing with the other dogs there. But she loves going and very comfortable there. She lost a little bit more weight and is now 14.5 pounds and the vet says she looks good. Up to date on her shots and dental work.
  • I just wanted to send you a note to let you know how well Annika/Lulu is doing! She’s the sweetest, sweetest little thing. She and Georgie play together all day. He adores her :) She chases him then he chases her. So don’t think we’re crazy lol We also got them an enclosed “baby” stroller :) I hope you’re well. Thanks again for choosing us for this special little girl!
  • Well as you can see the girls and Dolly have adjusted just fine. Now that the weather is finally cooperating the girls spend quite a bit of time in the yard. Dottie is becoming a couch potato when we retire to the front room later in the evening she insists on being on the couch with us. Megan leaps off the deck 2 steps down instead of 1 step at a time like the other dogs. You'd think she was a flying squirrel. PS We will have Dolly 1 year on the 14 of June. Thanks for your caring, hope to here from you soon.
  • Chloe settled in really well though, and quickly. I think my working from home and being here almost 100% of the time her first week really helped. She is doing really well though. She takes me on 3-4 walks most days, and loves saying hi to all her dog friends up and down the block, although we do have an issue with her trying to bite if she gets too close to them, so we normally say hi from a distance. She's still a major lap dog, and really loves her neck scratches and belly rubs, as well as playing with her squeaky toys. Outside of the house she is still a little skittish around people she doesn't know well, but she loves visitors, especially when my mom or my dad visit. (more…)
  • Fozzy Bear's doing great! He has been renamed Watson, and he spends all day playing with his new friend Morkie. His fur has grown out in to a fluffy mess of curls, and he's as soft as a cloud. He's learning his commands well, but he definitely has a mind of his own! When he's not chasing Morkie in the yard, his favorite activities are laying out on the patio in the sun, or snuggling on the couch under a blanket. We are so happy Watson was able to join our family, he's definitely made himself right at home.
  • Poor Emma came here pretty traumatized!  With her foster mom leaving her behind in a new, strange place with a new strange mom!  To add to her trauma, I did change her name from Emma to Buffy.  She adapted quickly luckily.
Buffy is a gentle gal.  She's timid and extremely quiet. I don't expect her to be my watchdog, she's too easy going for that! She doesn't have any curiosity which I find different. It was about 4 months before I heard her bark and only one little bark as she begged for a treat!  I like to think that we have bonded.  After I had her for about six weeks, I enrolled her in puppy school.  I'm not sure if it was for her or for me!  I learned a lot and she did too.  She seemed to enjoy being put through her paces.  Below is her graduation picture....
  • I feel like we've had Vixen for years. She's part of the family for sure. :) She is doing really well and is happy & healthy. She's settled into her routine and now loves going on walks. When she first came, she would hide when we'd try to walk her because she was so afraid of the noise from traffic. Now, she runs to the door with excitement when she sees the leash come out. Happy to report she's 99.99% house trained with only the very occasional accident. She spends time in the yard chasing birds, playing fetch and has even had some playdates with other little dogs in the neighborhood. She loves to snuggle and prefers sleeping in bed with one of us over anywhere else. She even has her own Instagram page @VixenTheChorkie. Lol.
  • It’s SO hard to believe, she has made her way into everyone’s hearts <3 we can’t thank you enough! We are still working out a few kinks with her triggers, but she has become a totally different dog! She’s so sweet, loving, and always ready for a new adventure. We can’t believe how well she has blended with us!
  • Auggie is doing great! Just took him up to our camper this past weekend...he LOVED it. He's settling in just great with our family, including Rosie and her sister Minnie.
  • Molly (now Lucy) and her brother Linus are the best of friends!!! She is our little princess and she is a perfect angel!! You can absolutely share any pictures you’d like and let people know they can follow her on Instagram @thevanpuppers
It took her a few weeks for house training but she learns very quickly. She knows basic commands and does well on her leash. We go to the park every day and she loves to chase the birds. She makes friends everywhere we go and has put on a little bit of weight (due to being totally spoiled).
Linus and Lucy have the run of the house while we’re away at work. They lounge on the couch and watch the world go by or nap in bed. They love to wrestle and chase and share all their toys and bones.
She met our groomer two weeks ago and the groomer said she was “like an old pro” on the table. She enjoys belly rubs and being brushed and pampered.
  • He's made so much progress in the short time we've had him. He's almost potty trained he just needs to learn how to tell us when he needs to go out. We've had him in a basic training class. He's learned to heel, sit and stay. He's still working on come and down. He loves to go on walks and cuddle (even with me). When he first joined our family he was hesitant to go outside but as soon as I open the door he runs as fast as he can to the backyard. It's been pure joy to watch him come out of his shell and show us his personality.
  • He now goes by Watson (we were watching a lot of Sherlock when we adopted him) and he is loving his new family!
He's gained a little weight, and he got a fluffy haircut. Watson is such a sweet little guy, he's still working on potty training and basic commands, but he wants to learn and is getting better every day. We are happy he joined our family!
  • It’s hard to believe it’s been 4 months since we adopted our beautiful little girl.  I should tell you that we changed her name to Bailey. She is really becoming more comfortable with us.  She is so smart and learns so quickly.  We still have a ways to go but we know she will get there on her own time. She loves following me wherever I go.
  • Spencer is doing very well. He seems to really love his forever home. He loves cuddling with mom and dad and spends many hours in his chair looking out the window and keeping watch of the neighborhood. And when he is not doing that, he loves following us around. He has really appreciated the recent warmer weather as he enjoys his long walks and running in the back yard and playing catch with Brendan and Daniel. We are so thankful he is part of our family.
  • (We did rename her Betsy) She is great. Adding her to our family was the best decision. We love her curiosity and energy. She gets along perfectly with our other dog, Barney. He’s now around 12, and Betsy motivates him to play. Barney is a bit on the lazy side, but Betsy energizes him. They also lay together occasionally.  She’s come out of her shell. She’s loves running around the backyard and going on walks with us and Barney.
  •  Smokey is doing good!! He gets along great with Lola, our beagle and they love playing together. We are working on his hoarding of toys and guarding them. He takes one toy at a time upstairs  until he has a collection. He does play with them upstairs and we have more toys downstairs. Lola could care less about it. We welcome any suggestions you may have. He does not growl at Gary, Kayla or me for the most part unless he has a toy he thinks is valuable. Then he will growl at Kayla if she gets too close to him. I can take the toy away from him without a problem. Smokey sleeps in our bed usually cuddling next to me. He loves to be petted and is learning how to be less jealous when I pet Lola or pay attention to her. He loves to go for walks and chase birds in the back yard.
  • Lincoln is doing fantastic!  We had some serious infection at first but that’s cleared and he’s loving his role as big dog in the house!
He loves going to the barn, cabin and anywhere really!  We are so thankful to you and your organization!  You do amazing work.
  • Linus is doing great, he loves the outdoors and his toys especially his Ice cream and Taco(has a thing for food toys I guess lol). We did some private training that has really helped to get him a little more under control. He definitely still has stranger danger issues but I am able to manage him a lot better and get him to calm, a lot of improvement since day one. I am not sure if he will ever be the type of dog just anyone can reach down and pet. I make sure to voice that to anyone trying and visually by him wearing a caution harness and his leash says do not pet.  It just takes him time with people, he is fine with my family, and all my people. We call it the circle of trust ....your either in or out lol. Really if you just take the time to spend with him and let him get comfortable he's fine.  (more…)
  • We adopted Timmy in mid July 2018 and this little boy has stolen our hearts!  We renamed him Muzz (my late Father's nickname), which is such a joy to hear people calling the name "Muzzy!" again.  Muzzy has stolen our other dog Lola's heart as well!  Lola wakes up every morning and kisses Muzzy's face.  They love playing together, although Muzzy is not very good at sharing, he usually just steals the toy from Lola's mouth and runs away, and of course she lets him.  He loves to snuggle and thankfully loves me smothering him with kisses. Everyone who comes over wants to hold him, he gets passed around like a new baby and (more…)
  • Alfie is doing terrific. We actually changed his name to Ralphie. He's a freeze baby that has wheezled his way onto sleeping with us every night. He also goes to grandmas a few times a week to play with his cousin Dakota. He gets LOTS of exercise. He really is the greatest dog.
  • Benson is adjusting really well into our family. He gets along great with Kona who is also a Marilyns Voice rescue. They love to go for their daily walks and play with their basket full of toys. Benson loves to cuddle on the couch with all of us. He is the perfect addition to our family. Thanks again for everything.

2018 Happy Tails

  • Elsa, renamed Ellie, is a total joy!!!  I can't even tell you how much we love her.  She has really come out of her shell.  At first she refused to be in the house if anyone other than the three of us were there.  Now, she hikes with other dogs and visits nursing homes!! She loves our grand kids and they return the love.  We are so grateful for her everyday.
  • I'm a little bias, but I think Addy is doing wonderfully.  Buddy (my 11-year old Jack Russell Terrier) and her get along great.  I love watching Addy run outdoors with him for their morning bathroom breaks. I give her a few cheers when she is done, and then she does a happy dash back into the house, stops and circles back for me to give her a belly rub.  So cute to watch.  The skittish-ness is pretty much gone and she lets others hold her readily.  She has made friends at Doggy Daycare as well.  I took her to work for "Bring Your Dog to Work" Day and everyone fell in love with her.  And, no problem with appetite.
  • Our little girl Dolly is doing great. It took a couple of weeks for her to get used to us and feel comfortable in her new surroundings but now she thinks she owns the house. She spends a lot of time outside as we walk her 3 times a day plus when we're in the yard she's there with us. She is such a joy to have around. She fills a void we had when our other pups passed. I'm attaching a couple of pictures of Dolly. One is after her first haircut and her inspecting groceries we bought at store. I'm sure we will have many more adventures as time go on. Thanks for following up on Dolly we appreciate it.
  • I’m so excited to report that we have all bonded as a pack. We love having him as a part of our family. It took a little time for him to adjust and completely trust us, but with his history and a new home is to be expected. He loves running, walks, snuggling, swimming, and his sister. Thank you for touching  base . It’s so great to know there are foundations out there like Marilyns Voice.
  • She is still a little skittish - but getting better each day. She loves her brother and seems happy. She is not interested in being
housebroken! Luckily she usually hits the pee-pee pad. She loves going on walks and jogging! We go to the beach almost every day and she loves it. We adore her (although we will be happier when she is housebroken). She is incredibly sweet and a happy pup:)
Thank you so much for saving her:)
  • Ali is doing amazing.  She has settled in very nicely.  She loves to cuddle and gives lots of kisses.  She
loves her walks and we play every morning.  She loves her special basket with toys.  She has learned to sit
on command and is just so adorable.  Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt Ali.  She is beautiful.  I
will send you some pics of her so you can see how well she is doing. You are always welcome to visit her
    too.
  • What a blessing Rufus has been! Our family absolutely loves Rufus and he has stolen our hearts. Not to mention made a best friend of our existing dog Daisy. The entire neighborhood knows and loves Rufus. When we first brought him in he was quiet and timid. But now he runs, plays and barks. It feels like he's been with us forever. He sleeps in bed with my wife and I and he loves to snuggle. When we watch TV he jumps up on the coach with us and we pet him. My Golden retriever Daisy just loves Rufus and they play together constantly running in the back yard. They even play hide and seek with the trees! I don't know how they figured that out... they just did. We're looking forward to dressing him up for Halloween and walking him through the neighborhood. I am so pleased that I adopted him.
Thank you so much for allowing me to take in Rufus. He is a very happy boy and he has made us all much happier. I couldn’t image not having him... he's such a pleasure!
  • Phoebe is doing fantastic. We do not know what life was like without her. We have recently moved to Manheim PA and she and her feline sister Sue Lee have transitioned well. Just had her second haircut last week. She does as you can see by the picture that she is happier than the first one.  Thanks to your organization we are a big happy family.
  • Muffy's Parents Got Married!
We are so happy some of our guests made donations in our name! It was  a pleasure to work with everyone at the organization and we hope to adopt from you again in the future. Muffy is so wonderful and we can't imagine life without her now. I think she enjoyed getting her own special flower collar and participating in our wedding.
  • Luna is great. We are so happy to have her and she has been a perfect fit for our family. She absolutely adores her big sister Primrose and loves playing with her. We couldn’t be happier!!
  • Scruffy aka Hero is doing great!  He is full of energy and has a very spirited personality.
  • We absolutely adore Rowdy! He is bigger than we expected but his heart matches his size. Thank you for this wonderful loving dog
  • Remember us?
It’s been two years! He is the love of my life and it’s questionable as to who adopted who! Lol.
Rudy just finished getting his haircut and I thought of both of you- I am sending a picture and a video.
  • Has it only been 4 months since Ray joined our family? He is so much a part of us, it seems he's been here much longer. He sleeps w Charlie each night and I have really great pictures of them stretched out w backs together or Ray snuggled up in Charlie's arms or hogging the pillow --- both of them fast asleep. Those I couldn't share, but I will try to attach one just taken. Ray loves to go to the dog park next to Lake Farmpark. He acts like he will tear up the place until the first dog approaches, then he's all waggly tail and hopeful sniffing. He enjoys chasing the one of our cats who deliberately gives him opportunity; maybe someday they will actually lay down together. Charlie & Ray are best buddies, wrestling, chasing, "playing football", hanging out together-- Ray's ears droop when Charlie picks up school shoes in the morning! He is a friendly and engaging companion to anyone who offers to speak to him and will curl up next us and keep company any time. He is totally housebroken, goes to his crate when asked, tosses carrots all around before eating them, and loves to be invited for whatever we do. Ray is a great gift and we love him dearly! Hope all is well w you and your fellow rescuers!
  • The girls are doing great. Ami has gone from a shy dog that only laid around, to a butt wiggling friendly girl that loves life. Siree is my lap dog unless there is a toad or squirrel to play with. I am fully retired now and am so thankful to have these 2.
  • Nova is such a little fur ball of love!!! He is my spoiled baby boy with a streak of feistiness Lol. He fit in perfect with our family. We cant imagine our lives without him! I have been in love with him the moment I met him. He is such a good puppy. Our previous adoptee (Bella previously known as Bri) would beg to differ. They have a love/hate relationship lol
  • Bisbee has been the best addition to our lives, we are so thankful for him everyday.
  • Ginny and Ty just wanted to say hello to all of the terrific people at Marilyn’s Voice. We also wanted to let you know how much we appreciate all that you do. A special shout out to the wonderful foster moms and families that made the transition to our home so successful!
  • One year ago today this cute little baby came into our lives. We had no idea what a joy she would be. It took her time to come out of her shell, and trust us. She amazes us every day with her cute personality coming out more and more. She is a Bichon through and through and has her crazy blitzes everyday. Her gift is her happiness and innocence. She keeps us all smiling always. She's changed quite a lot since we got her. She was very timid and shy. Now her tail is wagging all the time. She loves snuggling with her human siblings and follows her little brother Popcorn around. She barks at the lawnmowers every time she sees them. She loves walks and jumps up on us as soon as she hears the leashes coming out. It's so heartwarming to see her ask for belly rubs and ear rubs. And of course she has her dad wrapped around her tiny paws. Happy Gotcha Day Brooke! We are so lucky to have you in our lives.
  • It's been two months since our road trip to Ohio.  We wanted to thank you again for choosing us to adopt Tootsie and Mugzie.  They are a great addition to our family and wonderful playmates to both Teddy and Sawyer. As you know they both were a bit skittish and nervous little pups.  Well, not the case anymore.  They hog the bed at night, love tummy and ears rubs in the morning.  They play and wrestle all day and night with Teddy and Sawyer and of course each other. Eating like champs, especially when we cook for them. And boy do they love their treats and bones too!!! Thank you again, you are by far the best pet rescue!   [gallery size="medium" ids="8617,8618,8619,8620"]
  • Hi! I wanted to give you both another update on Luna.  She’s doing really well and learning the ropes from her big sister. [gallery ids="8611,8613,8614"]
  • Tebo (Luxor) is doing great. He loves playing with Piper especially and loves the kids!! Thanks and we are so glad we adopted Tebo!
  • Just wanted to send a little update on Lola (before we adopted her, her name was Hannah). She is thriving! She loves to swim, play fetch and is doing great off the leash at the park. I cannot express enough how grateful I am that you guys gave us our sweet little girl! Thank you again! [gallery ids="8297,8298,8299"]
  • Rosebud is doing great! She’s been such a wonderful addition to the family and makes us laugh everyday. We cannot imagine life without her! We are so grateful to Marilyn's voice for completing our family. We tried to take a picture with Rosie among the Roses today.  The last one just makes me laugh...Rosie saw a squirrel. :)   [gallery ids="8291,8292,8293"]
  • Boomer is doing great. He is super friendly to everyone, he minds us well, and loves to play with his toys. We enjoy having him so much. He is a good dog. [gallery ids="8286,8287,8288,8289"]
  • Hi from the DeGeorge family! Finley has been a wonderful addition to our family! He keeps us on our toes and is full of energy. His favorite thing to do is chase birds and wrestle with my son! We had a great experience with adopting him and can't say enough good things about Heather. Everyone at Marilyn's voice is making a huge difference in the lives of dogs without homes and should be proud! [gallery ids="8279,8281,8282,8283"]
  • We adopted 5 year old Pekingese Muffy (previously Oreo Cookie) from Marilyn's Voice in January 2018. It's been 6 months now, and we can't imagine our life without her. She is the cutest and silliest pup, and always keeps us entertained. She loves snuggles on the couch, and it brightens my day to have her follow me around the house. Each time we go out, everyone comments on how beautiful and well-behaved she is. Although she's a low energy dog, she has joined us on bike rides, runs, and in the pool - with the help of a dog backpack, stroller, and lifejacket. She is so easy-going, and really is up for anything! She is very attached to me (Meg), and makes it obvious that older rescued dogs can still form incredibly strong bonds with their new owner. Working with Marilyn's Voice was easy and helpful. The application process was thorough but they were very flexible due to our location in Ontario. Knowing the Muffy was in a foster home before we adopted her was a big relief, and it made the transition so much easier. She came to us already house trained, and we knew she would be ok napping the day away while we are at work. We needed a quiet dog for our apartment, and Muffy's foster mom was completely right - we still have not heard her bark (she does have quite the loud snore though)! We knew that she got along with other dogs and cats, and was just a sweet and gentle girl, all of which is still true and helped her fit right into our home. We support the mission of Marilyn's Voice to not just rescue dogs, but also to stop Puppy Mills and promote responsible adoption so fewer dogs need rescuing in the future. We have had a very positive experience working with the organization, and still feel very supported 6 months after adopting Muffy. Muffy even has her own instagram account @Muffymoo_thepeke for more photos! [gallery ids="8207,8208,8209,8210,8211,8212,8213,8214"]
  • Thank you for reaching out to us. We would love to give an update. We named her Callie. Our boys and Don and I are so in love with her. She has fit so well into our family. She makes us laugh everyday. She is so very sweet and loves to cuddle.   She weighs somewhere in a the 3lb range. We are getting her spayed next week. We are a little nervous about that but we know she will be in good hands.  Here are some pictures of her with our oldest son. Huge thank you to Marylin's voice. [gallery ids="8203,8204"]
  • Attached are some pictures of “Boomer”, and Boomer with his
sister, Yoshi. I don’t mind if you post on Facebook or the website. Boomer is doing great. He is super friendly to everyone, he minds us well, and loves to play with his toys. We enjoy having him so much.
    He is a good dog.
    [gallery ids="8198,8199,8200"]
  • Things with him are good. He goes by bandit now since he responds better to it. He’s a barker but so are all our other dogs haha. He’s def part of the house and always has been and will be. [gallery ids="8193,8194,8195"]
  • Phoebe (Vivian) is doing great!! She is still very dedicated to her place on the sofa but does jump down to go outside which is very exciting for her. She runs and jumps and is so adorable. I’m working on getting her to get off the sofa on her own to get a drink of water. Yesterday was very exciting. She has had a difficult time feeling safe going up the stairs in our split level. Yesterday I went up 2 levels to get dressed and she started barking since Fozzie was with me. All of a sudden she came running all the way up the stairs to be with us!!! And did it again with us today - all 3 of us together. She is so cute when she realizes it’s OK to do something on her own. She is a very good traveler in the car with Fozzie. Fozzie keeps her face clean licking her until it makes me crazy but she doesn’t seem to mind. She will tell him if it gets too much for her. She’s had 2 visits to the spa to get beautiful and is a very good girl for them. Thank you so much for rescuing her so we can share our love with her. She & Fozzie are just a joy! [gallery ids="8187,8188,8189,8190"]
  • Lou has been a blessing. We spoil him rotten. I just want to say thank you again!
    [gallery ids="8179,8180,8181,8182,8183,8184"]
  • These pics and video will say it all. Perfect!
  • Lola has been the perfect addition to our family! She loves playing and snuggling with her big brother Hank, a 6 year old boxer. Her favorite things to do are bringing us random household items and playing fetch with her favorite green ball, that she stole from her brother. She thinks ice cubes are greatest thing in the world and loves taking a long walk. Lola was nervous of car rides but is slowly getting used to them. We can’t even imagine our lives without her and are so glad Marilyns Voice brought her to us!
  • I just looked at my beautiful, head strong, silly, loving, attention craving, fur baby and thought of our journey.  It will be six years in September since we met at a Petsmart event, after seeing her on PetFinder.   We have been through a lot - including three moves but always together. Thank you for bringing us together - she is a happy, healthy girl that I’m thankful for everyday.
  • She grows more confident every day & is just the sweetest little thing! Fozzie loves her bunches & is very protective of her. They are destined to be best friends!
  • We absolutely love love him! The girls (Kaia- 12 & Jess - 9) renamed him Zip, because he zips around all day. He makes us laugh every day with his playful antics and lovable personality. He is almost never alone because I work from home but when I do travel my husband takes him to doggie day care so he gets his exercise and doggie socialization. We just closed on a house with 2 1/2acres so he'll have plenty of space to run around. His big brother Milo (11yrs old) get along great with him but poor Milo is older with arthritis so he doesn't play with Zip as much as he would like.
We just got married in December so Zip is now a part of the Mack Family. [gallery ids="7199,7200,7201,7202,7203,7204,7205,7206,7207,7208"]
  • Belle is doing great! She is the happiest dog we have ever met and it’s hard to remember how things were before we had her! She has quite the personality and really enjoys playing with her toys and carrying them around the house. She also has recently discovered the fireplace and enjoys laying in front of it on cold winter days. She loves her two brothers and they all get along great. It has been remarkable to see the progress she has made since the first time she came over to visit - where she sat by the door and cried and wouldn’t let us pick her up. Now, she is inseparable from us. She gives so much love and we are so happy to be able to give her the forever home she deserves. We are lucky to have her! [gallery ids="7194,7195,7196"]
  • I renamed him Tony. He is doing great. He has gained some weight, he was very thin. When I got him, he was getting over a respiratory infection. I took him to my vet for a check up and they said that he had a birth defect, his nostrils were too small, they were just slits instead of holes. This made it difficult for him to breathe. Also, his soft palette was covering part of his trachea. He had surgery to fix both issues. He is much better now and his breathing is quiet and he can eat better. The foster mom said he was not a very active dog and he wasn't until the surgery. He is now very active. He runs and plays with my pekingese, Mickey. He is a very lovable, easy going, and playful little guy. I love him so much.   [gallery ids="7172,7173,7174,7175,7176,7177,7178"]
  • Buddy aka Linus is doing very well. He is one of the family. Buddy is a large part of our every day life. We go for rides and walks (weather permitting), play fetch (he really likes his toys). Santa came this last Christmas and he got a stocking full of toys and treats. Buddy is a very good dog. It’s very hard to put into words how smart and affectionate this dog really is. We are very lucky to have found him. We have enclosed some pictures. P.S. Buddy is a great cuddler, too! It’s Valentine’s Day everyday with Buddy!!
  • His name is Shaolin and he's very well adjusted. Spoiled really. Great little pup, we absolutely enjoy him.
  • We are just obsessed with Toby (aka Grampy is what we call him). He LOVES to sleep, cuddle, and his stuffed toys. I'm glad that we were patient because he did have a hard time originally adjusting (he would bark all day while we were gone at work, had some food/bone aggression, and liked to mark on our pillows on our beds). We have now solved all of these issues! He no longer is marking, he doesn't bark all day, he goes to the bathroom in the backyard and has been doing GREAT. I hate going anywhere because I  don't like leaving him. He's very happy and I'm so happy I found him (I even cried when I went on vacation and left him with my sister, lol). I took him to the vet last month and the vet said he is a great weight and thinks he's a little older than originally thought (she thinks about 7). I walk him a lot to keep him active. Attached are some pictures :) [gallery ids="7156,7157,7158,7159"]
  • We renamed Bradley. His new name is Mario and he started answering to it right away! We love this little guy! He really is a funny dog and loves to play with our George. George and Mario are like brothers.  He loves to play and also nap. When the weather is nice he love to chase squirrels and it’s hard to get him inside. He also loves the snow! He is very spoiled and has me wrapped around his little paw! He adjusted so well here and he brought out the life in our older dog. I can’t say enough about how happy we are with Mario! He does like to get into trouble too! I attached some pictures. Let me know if you want more. [gallery ids="7151,7152,7153"]
  • He is just fantastic- so fun and lots of energy but also loves to cuddle. He and Gracie are great pals and you should see them play together- they are adorable and hysterical! I will ask my daughter to put up some pictures. We did rename him- “Sully”( Sullivan) and he definitely knows his name! We are so happy he is part of our family. [gallery ids="7146,7147"]
  • She is great. Very spoiled! I know that we are slacking about sending some pictures.  I promise I’ll put something together by the end of the week and send it with some pictures to you! She did not do well with the crate, so we only had her in it for about two weeks and now we just have her on the first floor when we are not home and she is much more relaxed and happy with that. She is definitely chewing. Even though we have plenty of toys and treats for her, she did manage to wreck our coffee table. I put a tablecloth on it and called it a day! She is very loving and warms up to everyone that comes to the house very quickly. She is smart and was easily trained. She had some accidents the first two days she was with us and again the first day we were gone and she was left out of the crate alone. Since then, no accidents. We are still working on leash training, which has been challenging with the weather, but she’ll get there. My husband spoils her more than I do and she is great with our daughter who has autism. She is a very happy pup and has been a great addition to our family.
  • Hailey is such a sweet little girl, she loves belly rubs and to be cuddled. Her big sister Cherie is very grateful to have a buddy, they get along very well.
  • I can't believe it has been three months! Gigi Ann is known as Izzy now. Well, her full name is Isadorable, which she actually is! She is the best dog! She is the sweetest, most calm and easy going dog ever. She does not care for dog treats or toys, but prefers toothbrushes and cardboard boxes! She has grown so much since we got her. She was so tiny, she looked like a puppy. She now weighs 8.5 pounds... and looks huge! Most of that is because her hair has grown back after being shaved. She has the softest, fluffy hair ever. And it's curly! I'm not sure what kinds of dogs are in there, but she is wonderful. We are so thrilled she chose us to live with us!! You may absolutely use her picture or whatever you choose. Thank you so much for rescuing her and all the other dogs. I believe she is grateful as well, as she has taken over the house!
  • We are doing great. Our new little girl has adapted quite well, and has filled the void left in our lives from the loss of our sweet Molly. Thank you for trusting us with her.

2017 Happy Tails

  • Bella is adjusting very well. Loves her walks and visits with family. It has been a blessing having her in my life and I was fortunate to have rescued her from your great adoption service. Thank you for following up - attached is a picture of me and Bella.
  • It had been almost 10 yrs since my first cat passed away!! Victoria had urinated on my carpet and before I got another cat I would need to deal with the smell and stains so not to have a repeat of her actions!!! I had gotten rid of all the old carpet and dealt with the under flooring and now I was beginning to be ready for another cat!!! I was in Canada and was looking on pet finder and saw two cats that I was interested in a cute white and grey cat and a buff coloured cat!! When I looked closer I saw that the Buff coloured cat was a rescue from Marilyn's voice and that made my decision simple it was the buff cat for me because  my  friend from work Karla Volunteer's for them and often talked about the good work they do! I immediately texted Karla to find out if anyone was interested in Frappe and told her I was!! She told me she was actually fostering her and told me to get an application in! I was approved to adopt Frappe and I went to see her and I fell in love immediately and brought her home that same day!! I renamed her to Molly because of the M on her forehead. Molly has adjusted to life at my house very well!!! She has the run of the house and when I can't find her she is often sleeping under my bed!  She meets me at the door every afternoon when I return home from work and loves to be petted and shown affection!!  She enjoys all her toys but her favourite is the ball tower its so fun to watch her stand on her back legs and pounce on it and send the balls flying around. Thank goodness she likes her scratching post and leaves my furniture alone! I put a stool  in front of my bedroom window as my window sills are skinny and she enjoys sitting on it looking out at the world!!! She also enjoys sleeping at the feet of our bed between my husband and myself!! When I need to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night Molly seems to enjoy laying on my stomach when I get back to bed!!! My husband who is not really a pet lover enjoys watching Molly play and likes to give her a little of his meat when he eats supper. The best news is she has left my Christmas tree alone I was worried about that. Molly has brought such joy to my life and I am so happy that I adopted her!   Cathy B.   [gallery ids="6946,6947,6948"]
  • Fern is a joy! She can still be pretty skittish at times. Sometimes I startle her and don’t even know how. She’s had a harder time getting used to my husband then me. She will paw at you to ask to be picked up when she wants cuddles or sometimes she prefers to just sit next to you on the couch. When she has two beds so she can decide when she wants to be part of the action or can go to the one in the corner some what behind the couch when she feels more skittish or if I’m sitting on the couch but she doesn’t want up. She loves the little dog park in our development when we go and she enjoys the snow. We absolutely adore our little girl! -Ashley

  • Thanks for checking in on Bungee!   He has adopted very well and isdoing great!  Giannni and I are happy to be a part of his family. We are so very grateful to you and the adoption agency!  Yes, we are happy to be part of the testimonial and/or pics on Facebook. Merry Christmas!! Mary Jo

  • We ended up changing Ivy’s name to LuLu and she is responding so well! She has really grown by leaps and bounds since she first arrived! With a lot of work (and a few treats haha) she now comes in and out of the house on her own for potty time. We are still working on the potty training and leash training but she is getting better and has come a long way! She also responds to “sit” and “lay down” now. Her “nervous circling” has also decreased and she now runs to me or Miguel or Justin (instead of away from us) when we get home! My favorite is that she now makes eye contact with me and her sweet face will melt anyone’s heart... we’ve really enjoyed working with to build trust and it has given each of us a great bond with her. I’m attaching a few pictures but she is the most difficult to capture how truly pretty she is because she doesn’t sit still very well for a photo op. lol Kelley, Miguel and Justin

  • Oscar’s (Tebow) adjustment into our home was very short and smooth. It took very little time for him to adapt and he became a part of my family immediately. He is very well loved not only by myself and my husband, but also by our entire family. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about your organization and this process. Attached are some photos. Thank you for everything, Lindsey Steinberger   [gallery ids="6921,6922,6923"]
  • We call himLouie or Luigi. He is family. Louie is an awesome dog with all of the wonderful qualities of a standard poodle. He's smart, affectionate, reasonably obedient, and a pleasure to to live with. Although he didn't bond well with our older dog, he quickly became friends with our younger one. He was a great comfort to me when we had to put the older one down last month. Louie is a joy. I love him, and I am so grateful to Judy Citriglia Marylin's Voice to give us the opportunity to adopt him. He is my heart dog.
  • Libby is doing great! She does like to bark..a lot...but we are working on that. She is a delight and has lots of friends in the neighborhood. One of her favorites is the mail man who carries milk bones. She know the sound of his truck and gets so excited. I have enclosed 2 photos. The first is her favorite place (when not in my lap). The second is from the backyard of my brothers beach cottage in SC. She was on squirrel patrol.
  • Thanks for checking in! Gus (we renamed him) is doing great! He gets along great with our 15 year old cat, Ares and he cannot get enough snuggles (I'm not complaining at all about that- I love it!!) He is the silliest cat ever- right now we are trying to train him to stop running into the fridge every time we open the fridge door! I have no idea why he does it- but our friends and family think it's the funniest thing ever. He also loves his first Christmas holiday festivities, especially the tree! He is growing quickly- the last time we weighed him at the vet he had already gained a couple of pounds since we adopted him, and I can tell his grown quite a bit since. He's already brought us countless laughs and smiles since we've had him and I feel blessed to have found him and rescued him.  I've attached some pictures you are more than welcome to use.   [gallery ids="6908,6909,6910"]
  • Bre (now Bella) is doing great! Seems like we have had her much longer lol She has so much personality and is so playful! Since we got her when she was just a little kitten she is wonderful with the kids. Here are a couple pictures of her now. [gallery ids="6901,6902,6904"]
  • Here is Daisy proudly wearing her Pittsburgh Penguins collar and bow. She is a very happy girl! She has adapted very well. She gets along beautifully with my 13 year old Maltese. He has become more playful since she her arrival. She has been a perfect match for both of us. I am very thankful that I found her through your organization. I would gladly adopt again!
  • Midge is doing just fine. We did have a scare when he slip off the couch but the vet said he is fine now. We do think he has a neurological issue but not sure what. He is happy healthy. ..eats all his food and his brothers so we won't put him through testing. He is my cuddle bug. [gallery ids="6895,6897"]
  • Time truly flies! Gizmo (aka Gizzie or Gizman) has made a wonderful transition into our family. He loves his daddy (definitely a daddy's boy) and is learning a lot of things from his older brother Peanut. He is a very smart little man who is very mischievous and LOVES to play. I think his favorite game is "how to steal mommy's socks and hide them without getting caught." He also loves to play outside and enjoyed running around in his first snow this morning. He still lives the puppy life, meaning he plays hard and then crashes and cuddles up with one of us for hours to take a nap. We are so in love with him! My son came to visit from Germany over Thanksgiving and I had to remind him to not pack him in his suitcase because he fell in love with him as well.
  • Manny has adapted very well to me, and surprisingly to my boyfriend. Manny has always been fearful of men and the fact that he cuddles up with Clint and doesn’t bark or growl around him or even flinch when he moves is definitely a milestone! He also loves to play with his sister Leia when she visits. Manny is extremely protective of me and still doesn’t like meeting new people. He barks a lot at others that come to my home, or at passerby’s on walks. He is starting to adjust at my family’s homes when I take him to visit. Manny’s barking however actually could have saved my life though the other day, because a strange man was following me on our walk and I didn’t know it and he caught it right away and barked nonstop until he finally ran off and disappeared. I was thankful for that. Manny and I are inseparable and close. He loves to snuggle with me. He’s a great learner and knows several cues around the house to do things before I even give a command. We are planning on going to training in the spring to work on the barking and attachment. Attached are some photos of Manny!   [gallery ids="6875,6885,6883,6878,6882,6881,6880,6879,6877"]
  • Stella (Brandy) and Dino (Java) are doing great! Stella has been wonderful and is friendly with everyone. Dino attached to Stella when we got him, but he's slowly becoming more friendly with us, and now will brush up against my legs. He doesn't want to be touched - unless he's on our bed at night and then he's fine with being scratched and he purrs like crazy :) The two of them get along great and are almost always together. Thanks again for your help with the adoption process. I attached a picture of them - as you can see Dino is huge!  Happy Holidays to you and everyone at Marilyn's Voice! -Chris
  • What a blessing he has been. He is just the best little boy we could imagine. He has adapted to us and our home so well and has many precious spots and beds around the house that he likes. He loves us very much. And he loves the big German Shorthaired Pointer, Rocky, next-door. He loves people; he loves dogs. 95% of the time he listens to us. Ha ha. He has a huge curiosity and we feed that every day with what we call Bentley’s Big Adventure. We go to a park or another development to walk, or down to Quarry Rock in Chagrin Falls.  Despite his huge fenced backyard, he still loves what’s on the other side of the fence. We go on adventures even in the snow. I just bought him snow shoes. He sleeps in his crate in our bedroom every night but if he cries at 6 or 6:15 we bring them up on the bed to sleep for another 40 minutes. We love him to death. • Buttons or "Baby" Buttons is having a great time making new friends. About a month after she came home with me; my sister and I went on vacation. Unfortunately the place we were staying did not allow pets anymore. I found a friend of my sister's who is starting a "soft boarding" business in her home. She lives in the country and they even built a special room with windows all around so the pets that are staying can watch the wildlife outside. Buttons had a great time and literally had the run of the house. I really wasn't sure if Julie and Jack would give her back. She is getting along great with my 2 cats, they basically ignore each but they are making good overtures to each other. They all sleep on the bed with me. Baby loves attention and she gets plenty from my whole family. I am so happy to have her in my life. I am very pleased with all the contacts that I've had with Marilyn's Voice and would have absolutely no hesitance in working with them in the future. Thank you for Baby!! • Oscar is a born hunter (although he is yet to catch anything, thank goodness).  He sits in the screened in porch or on the deck, scanning the property looking for prey.  I have just over half an acre here at the cottage so he has lots of space to roam.  As a result, Oscar spends his days chasing squirrels, chipmunks, frogs and basically anything that  moves. He and Marlo play often.  They kiss often, although Marlo (nine years old) does periodically let him know who is boss.  Oscar allows Marlo to believe this. Oscar loves to go on walks.  He loves to be petted.  He sleeps with me (and Marlo) most nights.  He is a lovely boy and I believe he is very happy. Thanks for asking about oscar and thanks for giving me the opportunity to give him the kind of life he deserves. Teenie
  • Just thought you'd like a couple update pics of Bella. As you can see she is growing nicely and quite spoiled LOL.
  • This October will be 4 years since I adopted Monroe. I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how great he is doing. He loved going with me to work at Petco when I was teaching dog training classes, and is inseparable from his best friend Monkey. He’s learned a bunch of tricks and training behaviors and has come great lengths with his interactions with people. He still has rough days, but more often than not he walks up to people with a wagging tail. A lot of his improvement is thanks to Monkey, who will always greet strangers first and show him how it's done. He loves cuddling on the couch, going for hikes, and even has his own life vest for when we go down the river. Besides being a snuggle bug and playing fetch, his favorite thing in the world is probably fishing. We take him with us all the time and he’s even learned how to tell when we have a fish on the line and gets so excited to see it. I’ve attached a few pictures of him having fun. I can’t remember the name of the couple who was fostering him, but if it’s possible please forward this on to them, I would love for them to know how he's doing. Thank you so much for everything you guys do for these dogs! Sincerely, Jena L [gallery ids="6490,6489,6488,6487,6486,6485,6484,6483,6482,6481,6480,6479"]
  • Thank you for giving us the chance to give Gizmo a home. He such a great personality and it is fun watching him checking out his surroundings. Since we brought him home we found out that he is definitely a mama's boy! He does not leave my side when I am at home and cries when I leave. It does not bother him when my boyfriend leaves the house. Although, Vince is getting lots of kisses from Gizmo too. He has also learned that his "brother" isn't that much into rough playing anymore at 9 years old and accepted his boundaries. Last night, for the first time, they played nice with each other, shared toys and fell asleep on the couch together. Gizmo also did very well with us returning to work yesterday. He is still in the crate but our neighbor goes over to our house at 10:00 AM and at 1:00 PM to let him out, go potty and play with both of them for a while. We are hoping that we can get rid of the crate in the very near future so Peanut and Gizmo can hang out together during the day. He is a smart cookie and already learned the commands stay and sit and dances in a circle, just like his brother, when they see they are getting a treat. There is really nothing else I can say.....except Gizmo is a true joy!!! Manuela N.
  • Bre (Who is now Bella) is doing GREAT!!! She adapted quickly and is quite spoiled already lol She LOVES to cuddle and is very playful! Here is a pic I took of her last week and her and my 14 year old Lab mix easily became friends . I can't drink my coffee in the morning without her laying on me Lol Scratch that...I can't sit down without her laying on me. We absolutely love her and she's such an added bonus to our family! Thank you!
  • It's been one year since Mylee Joined our family. We love her. She still loves that red blanket we picked her up with. She loves taking walks, cuddling with mom and dad in bed. She will growl at Max if she has her spot and he tries to take it! The only real noise she makes is when I return to the house, she lets me know it. When food is coming she prances around.

  • Hello. Chezney (Chezzie) is doing well. She is a very playful dog and loves going for walks. We love playing fetch with her and her Kong. Chezzie is very happy here and is a great addition to our family!   Thanks!
  • Paddy, now named Ginger is doing great.  She became a member of our family before we even got her home.  We have another piglet, Lola and the two of them get along great.  The entire process went very smooth. Everyone we dealt with was friendly. Ginger's foster mom was very nice and it was obvious that she was in a loving home and well cared for before we got her.  I would highly recommend Marilyn's Voice for anyone that is looking to rescue a dog. • Here is our Kozy after her latest trim.  She weighs 20.6 and had her  annual checkup on Friday with Dr. Scott and all is great.  We have had her a year now and what a wonderful year it has been with our little girl.  She has become the delight of the neighbors when she out for her walk with Ziggy. Love, Marcia & Ziggy
  • Things have been great! He has been a great addition to our family! He is so lovable and gets along so well with our other dog Riley. The two play together all day long and after that, they lay with us for a nap. I attached some current photos of him with our other dog =) thanks again for all your help with making everything work! -Stephanie [gallery ids="6226,6223,6224,6225"]
  • Loki (we call him Mookie) is the most loving little boy I have ever met. We have had several chihuahuas and I can honestly say he is the best. It has been wonderful watching his personality emerge as he settled in. I cannot imagine our family without him and it feels a lot longer than three months! I cannot say enough about Marilyn's Voice and the wonderful work they do in saving these loving souls. This is my first rescue and it will not be the last. It would be my honor to be a reference for Marilyn's Voice! ❤

  • Gizzie is a completely different dog today than when we got him. It really didn’t take that long for him to turn things around. Now he goes to work with me on Fridays and visits everyone (including the men in the office) for treats and belly rubs. He's been to Chagrin Falls several times and the dog park at Lake Farm Park. He is truly a sweet, loving dog and socializes with other dogs and people very well now. If you ask him for kisses he comes up and lays in your lap and licks your face. It's almost as if he cannot get and give enough love. Everyone that meets him just loves him. The first few weeks he would wait by the garage door for us to come home after work  and get upset when we left. We believe that having our other dog Bama as a companion helped him get over it. Now he can't decide which dog bed to sleep in or which toy to play with first. He barks at all the birds and squirrels in the yard and goes on long walks with us every day. His nickname is "Velcro" because he follows us around everywhere and wants to be with us at all times. After our two dogs passed away last year we were very apprehensive about getting another dog. These were big shoes/paws to fill. My husband and I can truly say that Gizzie has been everything we wanted in a dog and more.  Simply put, he makes us happy and we absolutely love him! He is a beautiful dog and we can't imagine our life without him and Bama! [gallery columns="4" ids="6151,6150,6149,6148"]
  • Carmella will be 4 years old on Friday, and I have been lucky enough to have her for 2 1/2 of those years. She continues to be the well-behaved, happy, healthy, sweet, loving, playful and adorable dog that I knew she was the moment I laid eyes on her at her foster home in October of 2014. She likes to sit in the sun, as you can see. She is pretty much perfect, and I am thrilled to be able to take care of her every day.
  • FiFi
I'm so happy with Fifi. She's learning to be a happy dog now. She seemed a little dubious about living with me at first. She's figured out that when we go for rides in the car it's usually to a fun place. We go to Gramma and Granpa's and there are always snacks. We had our first long hike yesterday. She went along pretty good for about 15 minutes till she pooped out and I had to put her in her papoose. We're still having some potty accidents but each week there is improvement. She wants to come to me more and more. There isn't that sideways glance anymore. My older poodle is much happier too having someone around when I'm at work.
  • He is doing great! We named himToby!  He truly is a happy active little guy. He has added so much to our family!!! He loves his cat brothers too!!
  • [gallery link="none" ids="5972,5971,5969,5967"] Tucker is doing really well. It didn't take him long to adjust to living at my house. He's settled in nicely and we quickly became inseparable. We love exploring Tremont together and going to the metro parks. I had his urine checked in January and there are no signs of any bladder stones. He loves his vet prescribed canned food and treats! Best, Alyssa and Tucker
  • Tanner (now Tinker) is doing fantastic!! She has learned to give us signals when she has to go out. She immediately took over my bed. She follows me everywhere (I'm not kidding!) She absolutely loves walks and on weekends she gets out 3-4 times a day. Seems to like people more than dogs. Has many toys and loves to play. I couldn't have asked for a better friend! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to adopt her.
  • Her tongue is hanging out because we just came back from a walk! As you can see, her fur is growing back in and she is adorably scruffy! Her face is so cute! We love her very much and she is a real bright spot in both of our lives. She seems very happy! She's very energetic, but quiet in the apartment. She has a couple of toys she likes to run around the house with and of course, she sleeps on the couch and the bed!
  • She is doing great. Very playful!
  • Piper
Loved being part of a pack.  She is doing well makes us laugh daily.

They have been quick to check out all of the dog beds and choose their favorites.

in with my other two boys.

  • Blitz is doing great! We have even been able to share about Marylin’s Voice several times as we are constantly getting questioned about him. He has had no health concerns, is as playful as a 6 month old would be expected to be and loved to the fulllest!
    Thank you for checking in!

• Lou has been a blessing. We spoil him rotten. I just want to say thank you again!

  • Pinot
I just wanted you take a minute & let you know how our adoptee has been since she came here to live in PA. We adopted Pinot in March of 2013. She was extremely shy & quiet. She took a lot of patience and slow movements, but she has made so much progress! I an pick her up pretty easily now. She plays with our other dogs. (When she came, she didn't know how to play). Every year at Christmas, we wrap presents or them. Pinot has always been kind of confused by the entire process, but this year, she opened her own present! She had so much fun tossing her lambkin toy about! She knows she is in her forever home! We get so much joy watching her come out of her shell! She has anxiety attacks once in awhile, but with her calm coat & a couple drops of Lavender essential oils on it, she calms right down! We have truly been blessed by her sweet soul! Robin
  • Boo Radley
I've had Boo Radley for three years now. He's a wonderful little Powder puff Chinese Crested.  He's a wonderful companion and a great (if sometimes over zealous) watch dog.  He spends most of the year here in Willoughby, but for the summer he goes to Northern Ontario where he is always off lead.  This is a picture of Boo on the deck in Canada.
  • Lilla & Keagan
Lilla & Keagan chilling out on a cold day.
  • Lamb Chop
  • Gracie
Gracie is a joy and we all love her! She is healthy and happy and makes us laugh every day. Gracie and Louis are good friends and get along beautifully. Thank you for the privilege of making Gracie part our family!
  • Alby
We are so wonderful together! He has become my little buddy. (I get excited talking about him.) He has adjusted extremely well. He loves walks and has favorite toys we play with every day. He's also very healthy and has had no issues.  He's a neighborhood favorite. Save
  • Kozy
Here are some pictures of Kozy.  The first one is before her "beauty shop grooming" and she is always by Ziggy where ever he goes even into the bathroom.  She didn't like it when I took on while she was eating. The next is with our friend Carolyn and her bichon, Sadie, Kozy's playmate.  She is just a delight and we love her so much.
  • Lucky
Tomorrow marks 2 years since we brought our little guy home.  I cannot begin to tell you what a difference he had made in our lives, words cannot  express how many times he has made us laugh and smile each day.  He is truly not the same dog we brought home, he has become what he was meant to be, happy and loved and Lucky. Not only has he brought so much joy to us, our son and daughter-in-law thought there must be something to this rescue thing. A year ago, they recused a little chihuahua and they now get it.   So much fun to see Lucky and Lester play together and just be themselves with the family. Thank you for approving us and letting Lucky become a part of our family. Ed , Diane and Lucky
  • Belle
Belle is very happy in her forever home and she has lightened many hearts in our family.  She is such a joy.  We are so happy we found her back December 2010.
  • Snicker
Snickers graduated today from Obedience School! Here he is in his  graduation hat and he also received his diploma! He was a superstar in training..... always the example of how you should do something great! We are soooo proud of him! He is a dream come true! We love him so much! Anytime someone sees him while we are walking him, they always say how cute he is and what a good dog he is! We say thank you and smile with excitement! ******* Snickers is doing great! He has settled in his new home and he  and Blaze (cat) are getting along fine. Snickers is in obedience class and we are all having a lot of fun :) The family loves him so much!
  • Franklin
Franklin is doing extremely well! I love him and he is the best companion-I work at home and he is my little buddy all day long- resting in his bed under a chair while I'm on the laptop.
  • Stella
This is Stella.  She is adjusted to her new home and loves going for walks.  She bosses her sister around even though she is 1/4 her size. We love her so much.
  • Hank
Our families just love him and he's the sweetest little thing.  He's still getting used to his crate and gets shy around new people and places. He does warm up after a little while though.  We are enjoying him so much and are very thankful that you brought him to us!! He has quickly become part of the family :)

  • Marie
Hi, this is Marie. I just wanted to give you an update on my new life with my new owners. I really enjoy my new life. I am basically with my new parents 24/7. They even bought a motor home so they can take me with them on vacations. I have been to New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Canada. I am a very good traveler. I am learning to be more social and have come a long way. I still am aggressive towards other dogs, but it is only because they scare me. I am working on that too. My uncle has 2 dogs which are my best friends and we play a lot. I also like it at my grandparents house who has 3 cats. All in all, I wanted to let you know that I am very happy with my new forever home. I am very spoiled but deserve to be after my very sad life before them. I still have some issues, but I am working on them with the help of my parents and lots of patience. My parents are very thankful that I joined their family and have made their lives whole again to fill their void. Thanks for my new forever home! Marie with Jeff and Karen
  • Jimmy Choo
His new bandana "rescue" and boy does he love that middle counsel.  He is also in the process of learning to give paw.  Once he gets it down I'll send you a video!

  • Molly
Nap time after our walk , another years gone by and she is doing great, and as always she is a true joy to have in our family.
  • Baxter
Update: It (Thanksgiving) was great and so was Baxter. He spent the day going from one lap to another!   Thanks and have a good Christmas season. Previously: Baxter seems to make a progress daily. All in all, he's much more affectionate and playful than he's been. He meets me at the back door when I get home from work and immediately runs to my room along with Dawson and jumps on the bed to get his share of the belly rubs. In the morning after he's eaten and I leave for work, Breanna says that he runs to her room, jumps on her bed, walks up her back and smells or licks her until she wakes and gives him some good morning pets. After that, he and Dawson hit the living room and the race is on. They spend a good deal of time chasing each other around and wrestling. It sounds like a tank is rolling through the house, and the living room generally looks like I have 2 or 3 toddlers in the house with all the toys laying around!! He's becoming more comfortable with my family and will approach them for some tentative petting and play if they allow him to do it at his own pace. My dad stopped by this week to do something for me when no one was home and Baxter approached him and allowed him to pet him once he saw that Dawson was okay with it. While Baxter still has a long way to go, he continues to move toward being a more normal dog on a daily basis. His tail is almost always up and usually wagging and Breanna and I often look at each other and remark about how cute he is. In just two short months, he's become a wonderful part of our family and I smile when I think of the progress he continues to make and am thankful to both of you for the part you played in bringing him into my life.
  • We can't thank Marilyn's Voice, Inc. Rescue enough. Buffy and Bridget (Harlow) have become so close!!!
(Bridget - left and Buffy - right)
  • Thank you for Emma!
  • Annie has adjusted to the few sets of steps in our home very well and all of our friends and family absolutely adore her!! She has such a sassy personality and is very well mannered. She loves and enjoys her time outside, which she gets very often! I'm so glad that we were able to cross paths! Annie is a wonderful addition to our family. I've attached a picture of her with her new sisters.
  • March 5, 2016 New photo! paw prints January 28, 2016 Here are some updated pictures of our Norman. He continues to be a great member of our family. paw prints October 2015 Update: I wanted to share with you some pics of our baby Norman. He has fit in beautifully and loves all the attention and play time he gets. He and Lucy are inseparable. Thank you again for bringing us together! paw prints Harlee's new mom has let us know that things are going great, he is so happy and follows her everywhere.  So much so that he jumped in the hot tub with her!! Update! Harlee is now Norman D.!
  •  I can't begin to tell you what a joy it is to have little Fern in our family.  She is such a character and just so,so sweet! Everyone who meets her loves her.She and our other pup Abba are starting to interact more and  walk very well together on our daily walks. She plays a lot and has found many little nesting spots throughout our home to make herself comfortable. We still can't believe we have her. We just love her!!! Thank you so much Marilyn's Voice!
  • I'm thrilled to have Princess and Pepper living with me.  They seem to have adjusted to their new living arrangements very well. They are eating well, using the litter box and playing up a storm. My favorite time, of course, is snuggle time and, boy, do they enjoy that, too, based on their purrs. They are even helping me with my quilting!  Thanks for allowing me to adopt such sweethearts!

     Jeri

  • Siblings together again! Pebbles (on left) was adopted first and soon the nice lady came back and adopted her brother Elvis!
  • As you can see by the look in her eyes she is full of it lol all kidding aside she's a really good baby girl follows mom around everywhere thanks for rescuing her from the puppy mill circle I may tell her I will take her back if she doesn't shape up but I would never do that to her she's my furever friend and she knows it!!!!! Bernice
  • Ivy and I met on a Saturday afternoon last July. We seemed to bond and went home together. However, Ivy had been rescued from a puppy mill in February where she had probably lived most of her 8 years and had given birth to numerous litters of puppies. She didn't "do" toys, she drew away from caresses and was fearful in any new situation. It took both of us a long time to grow close together. At one point I had to decide that whether or not Ivy seemed to love me, I loved her and would give her the best life I could. A change came in Ivy's behavior in March after we "doggie sat" with a friend's dog for 4 days. Ivy watched our new friend leap on and off the couch, bounce into and out of my lap, lean hard against me while giving kisses, and get treats for obeying directions - like "sit". She seemed awed at the antics of our visitor and a little intimidated, too. However, once our visitor returned to her home, Ivy began to physically sit closer to me and not draw away when I tried to rub her head. She allows me to turn her on her back in my arm to give her tummy rubs, and she seems to like it.! Now she allows me to rub her head and her back without flinching away. She now sleeps near the head of the bed where I can reach her to pat or rub her head and ears. She still doesn't acknowledge toys, but in so many ways she had changed so much. She sometimes gazes earnestly at me - I wonder what she is thinking...... She bounces around our home on her short little legs and races wildly through the fresh spring grass outdoors. She seems so happy and I am happy, too. The process of leaving her locked-in-a-box puppy mill days behind had taken a long time but now she seems to enjoy life every day.
  • Nucky did his first walk for autism and now he is exhausted!
  • Livi - on the right!
Here it is, approximately 1 month later and we just adore Libby (old name Livi)!!!  She is such a little lover.  She sleeps in bed with Tim, despite what he said about her sleeping on the floor in her new "cushy" doggie bed. She follows you from room to room, even the bathroom.  I was sitting on the  bathroom throne when to my surprise, she jumped up and sat on my lap! I think she enjoys my dog and they even eat out of the same dish. She loves running in my fenced-in backyard, nose to the ground sniffing everything. Tim works afternoons, so I pick her up when I get off from work at 4:30.  Then he picks her up after he gets off of work at midnight. I've heard so much good from others about your rescue group - we're so glad we stopped in that day at Petco in Mentor.  Thanks for such a wonderful dog.  She has certainly made Tim so happy after his unexpected loss of his little yorkie.
(Libby is the dog on the right in the photo)
  • Carmella
I talk about Marilyn's Voice whenever I tell anyone where I got her, and ran into someone who got their dog from you, too.  Good going! Carmella is happy, healthy, sweet, obedient and a total love bug.  I wouldn't change one thing about her, even if I could. Thank you again, Greg ****** One year update: Carmella is awesome and happy every minute of every day. Here is a very recent pic of her (laying down) and her foster "big brother" safely harnessed in for a ride to upstate NY! Carmella just got a clean bill of health at the vet, and life is good. I look at her every day and feel so grateful that I get to have her around all the time. ****** Carmella continues to thrive and is very happy.  She is very much queen of the castle and is excited to be, do, get and explore. She is allowed run of the house whether I'm home or not, and never does anything wrong in my absence.  She does not wolf down her food any longer...she eats slowly and actually chews now.  She sits for me to apply her leash and sits to wait for a treat, or her food dish to be filled and waits for my "OK" before starting to eat.  She wants to learn, and wants to be a good girl, and she is very much just that. She is beautiful, energetic, enthusiastic and loves her foster "brother" dog, who lives with us now, maybe permanently :) I look at her every day and thank whatever stars aligned to allow us to be part of each others' lives.  She has been with me about a little over six months now and everyone she meets loves her, including dogs in the neighborhood (even though she is still learning not to bark at them)! Carmella does not take off after squirrels or birds any longer...just lets them be and simply notices them.  I guess you can tell how I feel about her.   I attached a pic of Carmella, and Carmella and Sipho.  Who could possible ask for more love and joy?! Thank you again, Greg
  • Burt
Update - April 11, 2015! We got him two years ago this week from you. Thanks again! We love him so much!! He loves his family and his home here in Pittsburgh. Keep doing what you do! Previously...> Hello, Just a little update- Burt, formally Carmen, is doing great. He loves his sister Lila, most of the time, siblings. We got him in April 2013 and he has been a great addition to our family. He has taken puppy classes and will be taking more. He has learned many tricks and commands. Burt still has a little to learn about walking on a leash... But I'm sure in time he will get better. :) He loves tug-o-war and any toy that squeaks. He isn't fond of the winter but loves walks. Think he is a little to close to the ground to enjoy the snow. Burt will bring us his sweaters to put on him when he gets chilly. Burt loves clothes!! He is a funny guy and always keeps us laughing. He also loves barking at the dogs on TV and wants to play with them. And he always makes strangers smile with his crazy one up, one down ears. He is also referred to as Mr. Burt often. Thanks again to all that helped add Burt to our family. I tell people about how amazing you all are all the time. We hope to adopt from you again when we move into a bigger house one day. Keep up the good work.

    "My constant companion."
  • Phoebe
Photo of Phoebe who we adopted about 6 months ago. She is just the cutest and most loving dog ever.
  • Bessie
Chloe (my daughter 11) made this announcement. Bessie is fitting right in and Peanut is being a perfect gentleman with her.
  • Lucy
I trust that you are still there and doing such important work! We adopted Lucy back in Feb/March of this year if that rings any bells. Attached is Lucy hanging out on my couch this afternoon. She has it really rough. She has 3 doggie beds to pick from but you can see where she chooses to hang out. I work from home over 90% of the time so we spend a lot of time together. When I am in the office she is typically sleeping under my desk and the cat we rescued is sleeping on top of it. We had a few minor issues to get her (and us) adjusted early on as she was nowhere near as house broken as we thought or we were being punished every time we stepped out of the house for more than a few minutes, not sure which but once we got past that she has just been absolutely wonderful to have around! She goes most places and we have taken her on our week-long camping trips twice this summer. She actually loves to camp as long as we stay with her. First time we attempted to leave her in our travel trailer she destroyed the screen door in a matter of seconds but she still gets scared so it was no big deal to have fixed. Well the experience of adoption was "not the greatest" until we found your organization and with the success we have had with her I would suspect we will go down this path again before we lose her someday to try to make it easier as we just love her to pieces. Thank-you again for what you do! With Regards, David
  • We celebrated Bogart's first birthday on Thanksgiving.  He had his first session at the groomer the week before and got his bangs trimmed so he can see again.  Here he is with Callie, intent on playing with his favorite toy, a tennis ball.  He got a whole tube all at once for his birthday.  He is doing well and continues to delight us.  He recently earned his Canine Good Citizen certificate.
  • Demi
Today is our little princess peanuts 2nd re-birthday.  Also known as Demi. She is such a sweet little dog.  Still no hair growth but that is ok with us.  We just call her our bald head beauty.  She is doing perfect and we love her dearly.   Thank you.
  • Update - November 2015 Tink is the love of my life. Thank you for choosing us to be his forever family.   Little over a year ago my husband Don and I adopted Lucas (now Tink) and we just wanted to say thanks for doing what you do.  Happy Holidays!  Here are a few current pictures.   Lenore
  • Shania and Lincoln
Shania and Lincoln just got back from the styling salon and are more than ready for spring!!

  • Bailey
Bailey has always used the cart and he was born with spina bifida.  (I think that is what you call it in dogs.)  He has absolutely no use of his back legs and needs to wear doggie belly bands. One of our volunteers,Maureen,  makes the belly bands for Bailey and offered the new owner a free lifetime supply when she adopted him!!
    Way to go Bailey!

  • Kelly
This little girl came to Marilyn's Voice after suffering for years as a breed dog in a puppy mill. She was terrified and had to have surgery to repair her broken jaw which deteriorated from the lack of even minimal veterinary care during her lifetime. This is the first time she has ever been so relaxed that she joined the rest of us in the livingroom. I managed to catch it on video by a fluke. She had been barking at me & I was trying to get that. Instead, she stopped barking, looked at me & laid down. It made me cry. Enjoy!
  • Paige and new sister
Paige just wanted to say hi! She has been very busy protecting and loving her new little sister. They are already best friends. Hope all of Paige's friends at Marilyn's Voice are great and finding their forever homes. From August 2012 Hello, We just wanted to thank you for our little Paige. She is doing great and loves her big new house and yard. Her training is going great ( minus eating everything outside she can fit in her mouth ). The vet said for being a rescue from a puppy mill, she is the best dog he has seen. She really is a great dog!! Thank you! Andrew & Lauren

  • I can't believe it has been almost a year since we adopted Sailor. John  and I can't imagine life without Franklin or Sailor, they truly are the  light of our lives. We love them so unebelievably much! I wanted to send  you some updates on how much they have grown, not only size wise, but as   best friends. They do everything together now! I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them. John  and I can't thank you enough for allowing us to give them a forever home. John and Erin

She's the most adorable and sweetest dog we've ever met. All she wants is a treat, walk and a good belly-rub and its a great day for her. She's brought us a ton of joy and really turned our relationship into a family.
